ED EXAGGERATION: SCHULTZ TWISTS TRUTH

I know there are a lot of you who love Ed Schultz, but I don’t always. From time to time I find him to be a blusterer and a blowhard. An example is today’s newscast when he talked about what should be a minor incident at Kennedy International Airport in New York. It seems a father, an air traffic controller, took advantage of the “take your child to work” day by allowing his very young son to direct aircraft for take off. Now at first blush this news makes me cringe, but the reality is the dad, and his supervisor, simply told the boy exactly what to say and he said it. He said something like this twice, and even the pilots were joking amongst each other:
“America 222 you are cleared for takeoff”
According to Ed Schultz, blustering and barking all the while, the child “ran the show” in the control tower at Kennedy. That is just nonsense and yet another reason to condemn the MSM for its sensationalizing real world issues when there is no reason to do so other than to attract uninformed listeners.
Unfortunately both the boy’s father and his supervisor have been suspended. In retrospect they probably exercised poor judgment by not knowing that the MSM would crucify them for what should have been an inconsequential bit of father/son camaraderie.

Well there is another view here folks. Why wasn’t the kid in school? And, since daddy was caring for two kids when ATC is a very highly focused job, why were the kids in the tower to begin with? I’m just saying, the presidents two kids could read off a teleprompter.

I’m totally with you on Schultz, Mike. He’s really starting to come off as a left-wing version of Limbaugh. As for the sensationalism aspect to this, they ALL seem to be addicted to that little high – every single/frigging one of them.
I don’t think this warrants hearings. That said, if I were a passenger in one of the planes at Kennedy, I wouldn’t want to hear that Lil’Bee was directing air traffic, even if heavily coached. That would just make me nervous. Now, if it was in a small field in Iowa, where the only plane coming in and leaving is the one cropduster, that’s one thing…
Hearings??? Jesus Jumping Christ! When does this nonsense end? Our country is falling apart and Congress wants to have hearings on why a good father is being a good father…Yes. It is so (sorry in advance) fucking stupid.
Mike I couldn’t agree more! Of course the kid was saying exactly what his dad was telling him to say. There was a congresswoman on one of the talk shows today, I forget who it was, but she said there will most likely be hearings in Congress over this incident! LOLOL! It’s soooooo friggin STUPID!!!
