Gwen is a Twitter friend of the famous!

I’m impressed babe. Really! I am!

Just remember the infamous quote by Prime Minister elect David Cameron of Britains Conservative Party – God help us –

“Too many twits make a twat”

I might well vote for him on the strength of that!!

Hurt Locker kept my attention, but Avatar was more fun, a lift up. Precious is an important piece of social art. Something you should see. I’m still looking forward to seeing The Blind Side. I’m sorry Matt Damon didn’t win, he’s my idea of a great actor and writer and Invictus was a great story. It’s funny, I was on twitter / iphone in bed during the show and trading tweets with usuals + Jane Fonda, Sandra Burnhart, M. Hemmingway, Dame Elizabeth & Jackie Collins … they were commentary-ing through the whole thing. That was more fun than I would have imagined. The best was the constant tweets by Roger Ebert… he was right on the money. With everyone of the big gold boys. I was very happy for Sandra Bullock. I’ve been ongoing impressed and totally for Gabby. What an inspiration she is! It would have been a magic moment if she had won. You got the feeling that M’oniuque was a tad rough about her win… but, heck, overcoming is overcoming. I am most happy that women have overcome in this creative industry! I think Babs was totally in ecstasy over the Best Directer / Best Picture win for Kathryn. Well I do gush on… I enjoy the Oscars. I enjoy movies, tele vision, all storytelling. I’m a storyteller. 🙂

rightly deserved too.
maybe this will make people think about making films for people to watch and not just ones that are hyped to hell and are all about the effects? i for one hope so.

AND Kathryn Bigelow is the first women to win best director OSCAR. Tremendous achievement.

I’d never even heard of it and I’ve no idea whether I’ve missed it on the big screen over here in England. I will investigate and get the dvd if necessary.

The first lady director to win as well! Marvellous stuff.

Very pleased Jeff Bridges won – although I haven’t seen his film either yet. Been a fan ever since Starman.
