SARAH PALIN AND THE DISCOVERY CHANNEL? YOU ARE KIDDING RIGHT?

Read Time:1 Minute, 5 Second

In her next move, Sarah Palin is teaming up with The Discovery Company’s TLC, a company that has absolutely no affiliation with Rupert Murdoch, for a new series, “Sarah Palin’s Alaska,” which will take a documentary tour of her home state. We find it ironic that the notorious anti-environmentalist will be given a platform by one TV’s biggest nature-driven companies, which owns networks such as Discovery, Animal Planet and Planet Green. In that vein, we’re taking a look at some of Palin’s biggest anti-environmental stances and contrasting them with the decidedly environmentally-friendly programming put on by The Discovery Company.

Palin fought hard against polar bears getting endangerment status, going so far as to sue the federal government. In a New York Times op-ed, she argued that polar bears “are worthy of our utmost efforts to protect them and their Arctic habitat. But adding polar bears to the nation’s list of endangered species, as some are now proposing, should not be part of those efforts.”

Palin also challenged the federal government over the listing of the Cook Inlet beluga whale as an endangered species, citing its interference with oil and gas development.

Take a look at the Discovery Channel’s wonderful videos and let us know which pairing you find most ridiculous.

Mike, it seems to me that the best way to get Discovery’s attention is to attack their pocketbook. I suggest that people try to keep from retching and watch at least the first episode of Palin’s show, note the sponsors and let those sponsors know they will no longer purchase their products/sevices as llong as they sponsor the show. If enough people get on this bandwagon, Sarah will be sent packing…that is if she doesn’t quit first…after all she’s very good at quitting early on…

Watching Sarah Palin is like watching The Jerry Springer Show, it attracts idiots. This is Sarah’s audience and more the than half of them are clueless. I believe she will eventually fade away. Right now she is capitalizing on her idiot following.

The Palin is socking away as much cash as possible for when she becomes a non entity. I don’t when that will be because there is a whole army of stupids out there that seem to drool at the very mention of her name. I do find it interesting that she is going to be on the weakest of the Discovery channels. It used to be the Learning Channel but they have resorted to all types of off beat reality based topics to stay relevant in the ratings. Few of them have anything have little to do with serious learning.

Oh, I’m so sick of seeing her face…when is she going to fade into the realm of obscurity? See, this is why I can’t stand to watch tv anymore.

Isn’t TLC the same network that puts on that stupid Jon and Kate Plus 8 exploitative nonsense? If in fact it is, it seems like they might actually have a propensity for such nonsense (i.e., Sarah Palin).

Ok, confession time. The Bee doesn’t often have a clue who is dating whom, or who is divorcing whom, but following the train wreck that was Jon & Kate was a guilty secret of mine, LOL. She was definitely the smarter one, but man o man, what a sorry POS he turned out to be. Really, though, if I had 8 kids, I’d be out of there myself. Yeah, I’m a bad mother, what can I tell you. One is enough for me.

And don’t forget the matter of science. It’s hilarious to see a special place on Discovery going to someone who doesn’t acknowledge evolution and global warming, and actually believes the bollocks in Genesis.
