With Bachman and DeMint “Face the Nation” Loses Credibility

On Sundays I like to watch CBS Sunday Morning followed by Face the Nation. I just heard the upcoming attractions for the latter:
The guests are South Carolina’s Senator Jim deMint, Creationist Idiot and Minnesota Representative Michele Bachmann, Complete Idiot.
How Bob Schieffer, the host of this long running, occasionally cerebral, always venerable icon of Sunday morning political television must feel about this invasion of Jesus Jumpers and Tea Baggers is beyond my comprehension. Are they so desperate for guests that they have to stoop this low to bring reasonable political analysis to our living rooms?
I will not watch it. I may not watch it ever again. It has lost all credibility.

IMHO, Bob Schieffer has no judgment for political significance. And, furthermore, anyone who wastes an hour watching this superannuated ol’ fool would be better off going to freaking church.

You know I use to criticize DeMint for being an empty suit filling a seat in the senate and essentially nothing but a second vote for Lindsey. I really miss those days but actually appreciate how moderate DeMint makes Lindsey look.

No doubt some video clips will soon be available, and the foolish things both Bachmann and DeMint said will be in the public domain. It’s amazing how a person knows in advance they are going to say something outlandish.
I was shocked when I hear the preview. I had just sat down with a cup of coffee, vowing to enjoy the show, and vowing to leave the computer alone for at least 30 minutes. Then they announced the guests. The rest is history….Sighhhhh
