I ate mushrooms a lot for several years and came out of it just fine TYVM. Acid always gave me a headache, Peyote was great but hard to get any more. I don’t smoke pot or anything now, but they sure were a great time of my life when I needed to get outside of myself. I don’t worry so much about them as some folks…

My LSD trip was thoroughly enjoyable. For weeks after the intense, blissful experience, I had little or no anxiety issues, and no migraines. I felt one coming on early last week, but it did not bloom into anything.

I’ve also managed to come into a better understanding of my emotions, something which is very difficult for an INTP like myself who is bordering on autistic spectrum. Experiencing only the extremes of emotion is pretty hard on one, but with LSD use came an appreciation for all things. It sounds lofty, perhaps, but the words “everything is so *significant*” kept coming up among those of us who were tripping.

I will continue to use it therapeutically. I will continue to use it medicinally. I will continue to use it spiritually. There is no reason not to–there is a higher form of justice than that which unjust men perpetrate on one another, a form which comes from within.

The experience also opened up a better understanding of the objective/subjective relationship, and on the arbitrary limits the ego places on regions of spacetime. Time was meaningless–five minutes was an eternity, but 13 hours was over too soon.

It seems clear to me that psychedelics are the basis of my newfound religious attitude. I am god, I am antichrist, I am human, I am starstuff.

All in all, a completely positive experience. 10/10. Highly suggested to do it once, with a friend, in a positive, comfy space. Do it for science, do it for your spirituality, do it to treat the ineffectiveness of your natural emotional tendency. I suggest hot tub, music, play-doh, citrus, adjustable lighting levels, and Alan Rickman as experience prompts. Cheer and Good Yule to all of you.

Magic mushrooms have been used for many centuries in English folk remedies. Explains a lot.

I’m reminded of a time, in college, after ingesting some of Mother Nature’s bounty, walking across campus to the other side of town. I smelled shit and was sure that the locus of the problem resided in my pants. I did a hand check, and the result was negative. I arrived at the keg party I was tromping it to. I was standing outside, freshening up my beer. One very attractive girl standing there, said to another very attractive girl, “It smells like shit!” Oh, fucking hell, I thought, they smell me. It was just a wind blowing over the sess pool outside of town, I later learned. After about seven beers, things evened out, and reason came back to the rescue.

Then there was the other time I thought I was turning into a lizard; fucking green tail and all…

I seem to vaguely recall waking up in somebody’s front garden after a night in a disco popping speed circa ’76. A nice old lady prodded me with her walking stick, took me in and made me breakfast.

Her hubby then lent me some money to get a bus home.

I actually posted them the money back too! Who said druggies have no conscience!

And what will the end result ultimately be? Millions of workers spending all of their disposable income on acid tabs available at the local drugstore thus prompting the total shutdown of the economy and subsequent invasions by foreign powers. Stupid hippies.

Oh BROTHER! What are you worried about then? The straight people could then lock up the stoned hippies and take complete control! Or are you saying if hallucinogens were legal EVERYONE would be taking them? I doubt it! It wouldn’t be much different than now… DOH!

I read years ago that LSD had been used to treat Holocaust survivors. They had so much trouble talking about it because they just felt that it was so horrific that no one would believe or understand it.

Mike, this post has opened my doors of perception.

Any witch worth her / his salt knows this~! LOL It’s a good piece. Surprised it’s taken so long for MSM to put anything up on it… or been so long since they have.
Happy Earth Day, Mike. 🙂
