Republican Party Doomed in Arizona – Dems Surging in Polls

Read Time:46 Second

Arizona’s immigration law is going to make the state a safe haven for Democrats in the long term, according to the Daily Kos. If you don’t believe it, check out the latest Public Policy Polling survey of the governor’s race, which shows Democrat Terry Goodard increasing his lead among Hispanics over GOP incumbent Jan Brewer from 20 points to 46. “Arizona Latinos have gone, literally overnight, from being perhaps the most pro-GOP in the nation, to joining California as the most anti-GOP in the nation.” What’s worse for Republicans, whites will soon be a minority. “Within a decade, Arizona will be as reliably Democrat as California is today. And when that day arrives, we’ll be able to trace it all to last Friday’s passage of SB 1070.”

I guess the GOP forgot Newton’s most basic law of motion: for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. Bye bye, Republicans!!

This law is going to have an enormous impact on the GOP in states other than AZ. As IToldUSo said, the Republicans have only paid attention to Hispanics right before election time. With the enormous increase in the Latino population in every sate, maybe the Party of No has just shot themselves in the feet with both barrels. Let’s hope so but we can’t sit on our laurels.

It’s about time the American Hispanics and Latinos in this country woke up. The Republicans have been using the Hispanic/Latino voters for years under the guise that they have their best interest at heart and they’re just like the average American citizen. Republicans have never cared for minorities in this country except when it comes to election time and they need the minority vote to help retain power and win elections.

The Republicans want the dumb Americans who don’t research or read other news periodicals, and who rely strictly on Fox News or the tabloid TV News media to believe that the majority of the Hispanics/Latino’s in this country are illegals when in actuality, only 3 out of 10 Hispanics are not naturalized USA citizens.

I’m glad this has happened to wake up the brainwashed American Hispanic/Latino voters in this country. The Republicans have awakened the sleeping giant, and I hope they’re prepared to witness whats about to happen to them for the 2010 and 2012 elections.

Republicans use the issue of abortion to lure Hispanics into their ranks, but on this Arizona Immigration bill the GOP was wearing it’s hood when they signed it into law. Our brown brothers and sisters should flock to the polls in November on the back of all this.

Best of luck to you. Wish I was there to help you out. While you’re at it, make sure the majority of Hispanic registered voters and newly registered voters read these articles posted below. You can print them out.
