Watch Keith Olbermann take on Rupert Murdoch and Friends

Read Time:22 Second

In yet another bizarre interview, uber-rich Australian owner of Fox News, Rupert Murdoch, has the temerity to deny that he is a Republican, claiming instead to be a “radical,” along with other silly things. He further goes on to say that Fox employs a lot of Democrats, but can’t remember one single name. Keith continues by analyzing the paradigm that is the Tea Party along with their leaders Sarah Palin and Michele Bachmann.

I made a comment on another blog this past weekend that elicited come back commentary on my ‘liberal bias’ for my choices of news and information …. a red headed fella told me that Fox was the place for facts and the blogster, very civilly expressed the opinion that those we disagree with offer us more opportunity to learn and grow. Well… there is kernel truth in the learning curve of honest, serious debate. However; bias is something every congnitive being develops to process thought. I AM … a Descartian misnomer… is actually our first bias. Philosophy isn’t the subject, I know… but it bears when we discuss the where we choose to find our facts. I choose KO and I think Maddow has brought an intelligence to news/commentary that is growing instead of atrophy-ing (as suggested this past weekend). KO I adore because of his idealism and integrity…. I just resonate with these folks… I also look to Amy Goodman for facts, and countless others like Matt Taibbi …. I do have a bias … I look for intelligent truth, whether I agree with it or not!

If I were looking for ‘just the facts’ I would probably, like my friend the famous TLH, go to the major newshour networks… not Fox though… because even their local stations tend to be Teabag central and mix the facts with rightwing rhetoric.

Soapbox removed, MM. Ta for the moment. btw, great post~! 🙂

Agreed GHB. Furthermore, Murdoch can call himself whatever he likes, that’s his right as an American citizen (I forget what year he naturalized) but no talk, spin or denial from anybody can stamp out the truth about him and his vast media operations like Fox “News”:

They all exist to promote, excuse and celebrate all those who seek money and power at all costs no matter who gets hurt.

Murdoch is not a Republican (although I’m sure he’s always voted that way) he is nothing more that an Establishment-propping hack. He has no values whatsoever. Murdoch is only slightly less ridiculous than his fictional counterpart, C. Montgomery Burns on The Simpsons.

Rupert Murdoch reminds me of the insane media mogul Elliot Carver, played by Jonathan Pryce, in the 1997 James Bond movie TOMORROW NEVER DIES. One of the best Bond films. World domination of the airwaves is Murdoch’s goal.
