Why does God hate little Iceland?

Iceland is suffering, not only from the volcanic eruption and its after effects such as flooding, boiling air, no visibility, a stranded and desperate population, and a collapsed economy. So why is God punishing these gentle people?
Did you know they had one of the oldest forms of Parliament? Did you know that smoking pot is absolutely a no-no, as is peeking at pornography? I mean they are a nation of Christians, who praise Jesus, bang the Bible, and mind their own business.
So again we must ask the question…Why is God punishing his Icelandic children?
I mean isn’t God basically supposed to be a nice guy?
Sure there was that Holocaust thing with the concentration camps that murdered over 14 million people, and all those nasty wars that killed over a billion people, and of course the religious persecution that also resulted in the torture and deaths of hundreds of thousands of innocents, those pesky plagues which buried millions, and then there is the Catholic clergy playing with the penis’ of young boys thing, but aside from all that, isn’t God supposed to be basically good?

Other than the climate change and other scientific theories, we can go conspiratorial and speculate that HAARP was involved.
Or, maybe God is just looking for their Biblical Job.
Well, I venture to suggest that it’s because their entries for the Eurovision Song Contest are uniformly dreadful.
The reason God is punishing Iceland is she is so angry with us here in the US of A, It’s a warning.

God hates Iceland cause it is ridiculously cold up there and anyone who lives there is clearly insane and their banks aren’t very good either.

I think it’s safe to say that 1) nature is unpredictable and 2) man is inherently capable of unfathonable evil (yes, sometimes in the very name of God/religion). As to what exactly God’s role in all of this is, I really couldn’t tell you, Mike. As the President said in a different context, it’s well beyond my pay-grade.
