Sarah Palin – Obama is an Opium Addict

If only what happens in Vegas really did stay in Vegas: Sarah Palin brought her act to a retail Realtors’ convention this weekend, but instead of giving a leadership speech, she delivered her stump speech, slammed Obama as an “opium addict” (Other People’s Money, get it?), and stuck in an awkward reference about being able to replace lost luggage at an Idaho mall. “What would our communities be without our shopping centers?” the Las Vegas Sun quotes her as saying. “Meeting our needs is what it is that you do.”
The whole routine went over like a lead balloon, reports Joe Weisenthal at Business Insider, acknowledging that while star power is the main draw, “you kind of expect the speaker to tailor their speech a little bit to the crowd.” Not the case. Complains a cohort over at the Dirt Lawyer’s Blog, “All Palin had to do was add in a paragraph about the pending disaster of carried interest and she would have not only won over the crowd but gotten significant fundraiser cash from the industry if she runs in 2012. As it stands, I do not know if she knows what carried interest is.”

The big problem with opium is that eventually you spend your life lying down on your side, so if we see Obama lying down while giving a press conference, we’ll know Palin is right.
Of course he’s an opium addict. Afghanistan’s poor crop this year? Merely cover for the fact that Barack HUSSEIN Obama is getting high every day and night!
I wish our leaders were on opium more, perhaps they’d be less inclined to blow the fuck out of everything.
