The Palin and her “Drill Baby Drill” cronies are condemning those who think that the Gulf Oil Spill might actually be a very bad thing. Here is the actual video, with sound, of the oil as it gushes out of the broken well:

I dunno. I think I threw up a little in my mouth when I saw it up close.

I’m slightly alarmed at Cough Cough Obama’s rhetoric of late.

He seems hell bent on blaming BP – British Petroleum – and even seems to want to change the law to hold them accountable and make them pay everything to everyone.

Now. I’m no expert at these things – clearly – but, I believe the workers on the rig were American.

Now if BP’s safety bits and pieces didn’t work then fair enough, but, if it was an American worker(s) who screwed up then surely it’s unfair to entirely blame ‘British’ Petrolium?

I’m not trying to stick up for a ridiculously rich conglomerate here I hasten to add….

I just worry, a bit, that Cough Cough seems to be rattling a bit of an ‘anti British’ sabre.

Is he?

4D, I think that there is plenty of blame to go around.

Halliburton was in the process of injecting cement and other well fluids into the hole prior to the explosion which may have been a contributor to the event. Halliburton has been linked to serious health risks and shoddy workmanship in Iraq.Transocean had stated that the explosion was the direct result of the work Halliburton was performing.

Transocean operated the rig and is responsible for safety and maintenance work during its operation, including the Blow Out Prevention Valve.

Cameron International is the manufacturer of the BOP valve which malfunctioned. This is supposed to be the backup of all the safety backups and the leak wouldn’t have happened if the BOP operated like it should.

So, who is to blame??? Whoever it is and how much they pay will never put this monster back in it’s cage!

Agreed, there plenty of blame, enough for everybody, lets hope no one feels left out. BP blames TransOcean, who in turn blames Haliburton, perhaps the blame goes back to the oil embargo warning signs in the early 70s, when governments of the day did nothing but panic. Plenty of blame, no responsibility.

Absolutely right Holte.
At this point in the game I think that if a person from any of those companies suddenly spoke up and said “Well, we did mess up on….”, they would be immediately shot with a tranquilizer dart and whisked away by the company lawyers. (no offense Lawyer, but sometimes legal teams can see sudden truth and responsibility as weapons of mass corporate destruction.)

The comic icon says much…. they are both FU___ED. This is getting massively worse each day. I wonder what their denials of this will be in less than a month hence as the entire ocean system of the planet takes it up the ass from this…
it gets worse every day.
Tears.
Tears.
