Mr. President won’t you please bring our children home?

Read Time:21 Second

Someone once said that the thousands of tears shed at graves were for words left unsaid. So my heart breaks when I am reminded of the sound of war and the sight of blood, our children’s blood, flowing into empty streets in empty lands.

Please Mr. President…bring our sons and daughters home. America needs them.

Many thanks to Sarah McLachlan and Matthew for the video.  The text is mine.

What i do not understood is acualtly how you are not really much more well-liked than you may be right now. You’re so intelligent. You realize therefore considerably relating to this subject, made me personally consider it from so many varied angles. Its like women and men aren’t fascinated unless it is one thing to do with Lady gaga! Your own stuffs excellent. Always maintain it up!

…that isn’t to say I’m not proud and grateful to our troops who put (and lose) their lives.

My cynicism is purely and solely against politicians.

Right were it should be.

In body bags mate. In body bags.

That’s what politicians do.

Am I really so cynical or am I right?

You tell me…..

A beautiful tribute, Mike. America must learn that the the deaths and maiming of our sons and daughters, brothers and sisters, fathers and mothers is too high a price to pay for misgegotten wars.

I have been protesting this war, sometimes by myself at street corners, since they started as have many others. Cities across the country, have impromptu gatherings of people to let others know we want ALL OF THEM HOME. Hey if they did bring the draft back, the streets would be full of people, demanding these wars came to an end. VP spoke to a group of soldiers, that has come home just this week. I think that is from our desert adventure in Iraq though. It looks like they are starting to draw people out from there.

For me the most powerful vision of this whole thing, was PO standing at Dover waiting for coffins to be brought from the planes. I thought for certain people would be up in arms. I guess we(generic) are just so used to things the way they are, we become numbed by it and hope someone else will do something. Write your congresscritters even if you don’t think they will listen. Call your senators, letters to the editor so others know they can speak up too.

I can’t agree more, it was a stupid idea when Bush started BOTH Wars, and it is still a stupid idea…for BOTH Wars.

You know if we had the draft, we would have been long out of there.
People care more about that stupid Lohan girl than our troops.
At least that’s what it seems..

Not until we’ve got those minerals secured, and who knows how long that’ll take. Buck up, little troopers!

A picture the Bush administration did not want Americans to see. The flag draped coffins of American soldiers.
It’s way past time to leave, but don’t kid yourself, we have enemies that want to kill us. But invading Iraq, or staying in Afghanistan for 10 years will not defeat them.

According to a few sources I read yesterday, the leaked documents through wikileak that evidence that the Afghan war is going badly is being largely ignored by the media outlets because they already know it. Agreed, we need to get out of there.

They all need to come home now not later but they will not be doing that. We are correct on this not the pundits or politicians. America seems not to mind.

We have entered a new era of war dead with a record killed in Afghanistan last month and will probably beat those numbers again.

And hardly a blurb on the news. Two a day wiped out for what. Will more ever start saying enough?
