Rumsfeld’s Words Ring True.

I remember the immortal words of Rumsfeld…basically, we go with what we have not what we want or need. People should remember this when wanting a different President…after all, we put a Lion in there, the Repuglickers want a pussy cat and some of us want a three headed, fire-breathing Dragon that will solve everything. I understand what he faces and how far he can go with a spineless Congress, largely due to the upcoming elections…so, I’m alright with where he has reached so far, I am sure he will continue to do more for us than we could do for ourselves, and some of us should understand…we beggars are not choosers, but we do have the ability to call our representatives and hold them accountable now and at election time. We have so far gotten much more with him in Office than we would have had if anyone else was there.

 I am not suggesting we do nothing to push the polititicians in the direction we want, but we have to at least be reasonable with our expectations. We do have to look at the hurdles the President faces. The life blood that the country needs in order to serve the needs of the people is…the Financial Sector. We do not grow bananas or sell oil and sheep skin to upkeep our needs, we run 25% of the worlds GDP by using our Financial Sector in a way that includes keeping it healthy and vibrant enough to weather the storm of international competition, while serving our needs. This is a very important piece of the puzzle and if the President allows the Financial Sector to take all the punches, we may very well fall victim to George Dumbya Bush’s planned recession. Yes I said planned. His economists were well paid and were well taught, to avoid a recession so someone had to have planned it during the eight years of watching it unfold…or bearing fruit.

 It is a simple matter to say “I want this, I want that…go get it Mr. President” but obviously it does not work like that. The President has proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that he is up to the tasks needed, by what he has actually produced for the short time there but I hasten to remind you, he cautioned that we must question and push Him and the other politicians in order to get the results we want. There is a reason for this request by Him. The system that has been in place is geared to protect some interested parties and not bring about the desired results needed for the rest of us. He recognized this and knows the only way to get change is by our combined efforts of pushing him and He in turn pulling for us. If we sit and do nothing or remove our support for him, he will not be able to go up against the system/Status quo with no goals/requests to accomplish and with no help and support behind him.

 He cannot achieve what we have not shown a need for, the system is a high wall and our needs is the pole he needs to use to go over that wall, it is also the reason he needs, in order to show why he is doing our bidding. So remember his advice/request…hold him accountable, but do not take your strong support away, as he needs that to do the job you need done.
