The Seeds featuring Sky Saxon
Classic LA garage band, the Seeds had several hits. Sky’s career lasted for many years. Great electric piano work.

Osori,
I only know the beauty that was Sky Saxon’s smile, generosity, music and legacy has brought to my husband, kids and me. My children grew up listening to Sky Saxon. They are the future and he would be proud that they are continuing on with music. The future generation needs to know the “truth” and to know they are LOVED which I believe was Sky’s message and that is everlasting. Most importantly, That Sky’s dear Soulmate and beautiful wife Sabrina, as well as their family/friends and Sky Saxon’s MUSIC are continuing the legacy. It is up to the fans to just feel blessed to have a tiny spark of those “seeds” to ignite in our “own’ way…
This is Sky’s widow and it is true he passed away on June 25, 2009. I know that rumor had it that he was insane but for those of us who knew him or even met him and hung out for a length of time, it became very clear he was not insane. He was far ahead of many of us in many ways. Some of the things even we thought were a little out there, we came to realize he was right on. Sky from the early days when he was rich and famous throughout the days that he was not rollin’ in the dough, he was always gracious and generous. I know this not because I was there back in the day but because people who were told me that that is what they think of when they think of Sky … gracious … generous …. Sky was a unique individual … and he was himself … totally and purely … as many of have said, “He was the real deal.” … How many of us wish we could live authentically as our authentic self? He was a pure artist who never stopped writing songs, recording, and performing. Our record producer and I will be putting out Sky’s music for years to come, many of it no one has ever heard before. You can check out the amazing lineup for the Sky Saxon tribute album that we have coming up on our website … Sincerely …. Sabrina Smith Saxon
Thank you Sabrina. I have updated the post both here and in FB, as well as emailing you from your site.
I’ve always been a fan ever since Pushin’ Too Hard hit the local airwaves and wanted people to hear my favorite Seeds song. I put “insane” in the header thinking it would attract people who otherwise might not be drawn to the band name Seeds;I should have known it was insensitive.
Best of luck with the anthology album.
Hey this is kind of cool.
Sky passed on June 25th , 2009 and you are insane to think that he was. You obviously did not know him. Just another ass talking out his ass.
Anonymous,
Updated with new info, thank you. I always enjoyed his music.
Groovy!
