Do We Now Invade Pakistan?

In 2009, Al Qaeda’s core in Pakistan remained the most formidable terrorist organisation targeting the US homeland and it has proven to be an adaptable and resilient terrorist group, the annual Country Reports on Terrorism released by the US Department of State of Thursday has said.
The report says the outfit’s desire to attack the United States and US interests abroad remains strong
The report, which replaced the previous Patterns of Global Terrorism annual reports in 2004, said, “The US intelligence community assessed that Al Qaeda was actively engaged in operational plotting against the United States and continued recruiting, training, and deploying operatives, including individuals from Western Europe and North America. Moreover, Al Qaeda continued to try to expand its operational capabilities by partnering with other terrorist groups, with varying degrees of success.”

This is a startling revelation, one which brings up many questions including the question of what do we do now, regarding the relations between the US and Pakistan? The first thought that honestly came to me was relief that Mc Cain and Sarah Palin are not in office right now. I sense that had Mc Cain and Sarah Palin been in the White House, there would have been a big push against Pakistan and an invasion would have been imminent, as Pakistan does have WMD’s and needs “American Democracy” according to the Republican trend of thought that all Muslim countries need reform in some way…I think though most of them may not want to admit they think this way. If the Republicans had the White House we would have been amassing large amounts of troops and equipment in an effort to invade Pakistan and probably nuke the hills in order to complete the job that Bush left undone. Thank goodness for the common sense of the voters…for now…

I will bet that we land up there at some point. There’s too many defense contractors making too much money from these wars and they have congress in their pockets.

Pakistan is one of the most impoverished countries on earth and they have nuclear weapons. Makes no sense to me. They built them with aid money while their people became more and more radical.
