Flight attendant takes slapped baby from angry mother

Read Time:39 Second

A Southwest Airlines flight attendant stepped in to remove a baby from her parents after her mother slapped the crying 1-year-old girl in the face, police say. Authorities met the plane when it landed in Albuquerque and returned the child to her parents after questioning them, ABC reports. The baby had a black eye which the parents said had been caused by the family dog.

Southwest says the attendant merely offered to hold the baby because the parents were arguing, but police disagree, saying the attendant rightly moved the child out of harm’s way. “I think it was a solid move from the part of the flight attendant to take custody of the child,” Albuquerque airport’s police chief said. “It neutralized the situation, it calmed everybody down.”

What a cock a doodle do on the dog thing. I hope the coppers investigate this one. If they don’t then this little critter is on the edge. Bless hell this attendant. She’s a gold heart she is.

The ability to just “make” children is a rather easy one!
There are regulations on almost everything in this county, I pose a question.
Why is there no regulations, requirements, or given guidelines for becoming a parent?
To lawfully give care of children who are not your own, in your home, there are certification requirements.
To be a teacher, you must have certification requirements.
To feed children at schools and other places there are again requirements that must be met.
But people have children, care for them teach them feed them all without requirements.
Children are being miss treated, taught terrible life styles, and being feed crap, and this is all just the tip of the iceberg.
Why is there no requirements needed to be met, to have children?
Survival of the fittest no longer applies to our society, we just shovel the weak in larger groups and push them along. But its still a fail for society, if you ask me!

I could not agree more. Your biological offspring is essentially a guaranteed gift/legacy to the world from your loins- and the thing destined to perpetuate your genetic code through further reproduction (grandkids etc.)
So people who murder their kids, or make them too screwed up to continue the lineage have removed their genes from the equation.

We spend a lot of time paying for and facilitating the reproduction of people who, if left without oversight and support, would do precisely that. Taking care of the innocent child of brutish parents is the only humane thing to do.

But I argue, like Robin, that since it is inhumane to allow a child to be at the mercy of inferior parents, we therefore need to regulate who becomes parents. Not by eugenics, but by education and certification.

Shame on those people, parenting is tough enough, slapping one year-olds makes it tougher.

Or beating them to death, because they acted a little girly when they were a toddler boy. AYUP, that happened just recently. Or suffocating and staging a car accident, because your mom was dogging you about how you raised your children and you were not employed, AYUP that happened in SC recently. Here’s some of us, longing to have kids and can’t and then there are people like that, that drop them all over the place just to treat them so badly. So very frustrating. It saddens me to think, we need to license pet owners, people who drive cars and yet people like this and my bios can pop out kids when they want to.

Flight attendant made a good call, maybe this will give the parents some thoughts about abusing their kid.

Now what happens if you slap a Flight attendant?? Just kidding..but I have encountered a few that were over the line of rude. But not near as many as the amount of A-Hole passengers.

I’m guessing the nasty parents got the child back, then?

Removing the kid from the bad situation on the flight isn’t enough. A dog causing a black eye? My ass!

I’ve gone up to people in department stores when I see them hitting on children to say something about it. One of these days, hubby is convinced, I will get my ass kicked for getting involved. Flight attendant did the right thing, taking the baby out of there.
