Ignorance on the rise – Republican Party ready to cash in

Read Time:38 Second

Nearly a third of all Republicans believe that Barack Obama is a Muslim, according to an astonishing new poll released overnight by the Pew Research Center. That’s a dramatic spike in false views about the president’s religious faith – and it comes in a poll taken before Obama weighed on plans to build a mosque two blocks from ground zero

If you poll ignorant people, regardless of the question, their answers will be birdbrained, cretinous or downright stupid. For the Pew Research Center to ask the question “Do you think President Obama is a Muslim?” the 31% response “yes, I think he is a Muslim” suggests willful ignorance and a downright moronic ability to get things wrong. The Pew Research Center doesn’t win any prizes either.

Apparently when a president doesn’t provide easy fodder for the media by way of sexual indiscretions or general incompetence, the media really needs to dig deep for insubstantial news related to them. Glad the Pew Research Center was already on the case.

What do you mean on the rise. It has been at the highest levels for forever. They have busted through the ceiling and are reaching further heights now. Here is one just from today showing rubes are easily separated from their money and when things go downhill, the cheaters won’t do refunds. D’uh the list of who was a teabagger was printed and the people said, um no I won’t shop with you. IDIOTS, part of the grifters deal, I am not making this up. He will analyze his results to decide future decisions. I wish I made that last part up but this is the intellect of the grifters and their minions.

My dad is found of reminding me frequently that most people’s temperatures are hihgher than their IQs. George Carlin once qupped, “Think of the stupidest person in the world and remember that 99% of people are even stupider than that.” I am still wondering why people say ignorance is bliss. The Teabaggers seem anything but. Yes, I, too firmly believe ignorance is on the rise: exponentially. Thanks, Holte. I am reassured that it isn’t just me. I read Swift at the times I am most frustrated and realize things are worse now because all the wingnuts have the internet to bolster each others ignorance and prejudice. As No. 44 would write, “Fed up (I am).”

Over the last few years I have come to realize that the amount of ignorance in our country has reached epidemic proportions. Bird flu, swine flu, they don’t scare me half as much as ignorance.

Frustrating, the stupidity. I would guess that even more people believe Obama wants to take their guns away.

I heard this on the news about 30 minutes ago and for some reason was not surprised. The ignorance and hatred that rules the Republican party is, for them, a matter of great shame.

Or pride, if you’re a Republican.
