Mercury in Retrograde August 20, 3:53 PM EDT
Approximately 3 times a year for about 3-4 weeks, Mercury is retrograde. This current retrograde begins today and goes direct September 12,7 PM EDT. During this time Mercury, appears to be going backward and indeed it moves through an Astrological sign backward. Since Mercury rules communication, mental activity and traveling we should be more careful to check details and have patience with communication devices going haywire. Often all of our communications and projects seem delayed by circumstance or confusion. The mail and any types of business communications may be more frustrating than usual. Maybe leave extra time to get where you are going as well. It is probably not the best time to sign contracts or make important decisions that can wait until after Mercury goes direct.
Mercury rules the mind, mental processes and all forms of communication Usually we function in the real world from our left brain which is logical, practical, rational. Our right brain controls intuition, art, spirituality and creativity. When Mercury goes retrograde imagine these two sides of our brain reversing!
This is a fine time to draw on knowledge and guidance from deeper levels of consciousness. Use Mercury retrograde periods to complete unfinished and often long neglected projects. You can reflect on old issues in a new way from which new perspectives can be developed.
This can be a very good time for introspection and meditation, seeing old friends, and creative endeavors.
Because Mercury is our fastest planet, in early mythology it was considered the “messenger of the gods.” His role was to gather and distribute information. It is still considered to represent the process of communication, as well as our ability to connect various pieces of information that come to us daily. Just prior to the time when this planet starts to back up, it is easy to get buried in information to the degree nothing seems to make sense. When retrogradation finally occurs, we are challenged to slow down and process or digest what is already on our plates before attempting to ingest or assimilate more. Make sure that you understand all of the details before committing to new projects. Catch up with things that have been left undone. This is a great period to re-mind, re-view, re-think and re-connect.

I am so busy with my Mercury Retrograde ‘move’ I haven’t had time to see the FB comments. Sometimes innocence is bliss
All in all its not anything to worry about really.
Ty for your comment, Gwen.

My uterus was retrograde until I had the hateful thing removed. I should’ve asked for it back from the pathologist so I could bury it under a full moon in a graveyard to cure my insanity.
