Nevada’s Sharron Angle- Dumb dumb dumb dumb..

Read Time:1 Minute, 15 Second

We all know there is dumb, and there is dumber. Clearly The Palin and The Bachmann make up this little group, however, I am beginning to think that Tea Bag favorite in the Nevada senate race, The Sharron Angle, qualifies for even dumber than dumb that is dumb.  My friends this is The Tea Bagger Incarnate:

Sharron Angle is raising eyebrows again for her pubic comments, this time for explaining why she often avoids the media (and the resulting public comments): “We needed to have the press be our friend,” she tells Fox News. When the network’s Carl Cameron tells her that sounds “naive,” she counters: “Well, no. We wanted them to ask the questions we want to answer so that they report the news the way we want it to be reported.” She also quickly gets in a pitch for donations to her website, notes Mediaite, which has the video.

Candidates are always trying to manipulate press coverage, of course, but as a headline in the National Review puts it, “Did she just say that out loud?” Adds Steve Benen of the Washington Monthly: “I’ll look forward to conservatives’ defense of this. They’re a creative bunch, and I can hardly wait to see what they come up with.”

Am I missing something? Isn’t the press already the friend of politicians?

We wanted them to ask the questions we want to answer so that they report the news the way we want it to be reported.

Spoken like a true Soviet apparatchik. Only in a totalitarian state do the media as a whole operate that way. Which tells us something about the direction these people would intuitively feel impelled to take the country in, if they got into power.

Did she just say that out loud?

A revealing way of framing the issue. Yes, she did say it out loud, and we should be grateful to people like her and Rand Paul for saying out loud what a lot of the fringe right is thinking, so that everyone can hear it.
