Pitiful Republicans decide to be more pitiful

Read Time:1 Minute, 8 Second

After being the party of “No” for almost 2 years and giving a new definition to the word “Obstruction,” the Republican Party, in the run-in to the mid-terms, have decided to take the cheap and nasty route to the ballot box.

For a while they were riding the economy horse, but all of a sudden they have changed their mode of transport.

While the economic freefall Obama inherited has been halted, jobs are not coming back in the numbers The White House hoped for. The housing market is still suffering and for a while it seemed that Republican Party would use “it’s the economy stupid” to convince voters to send them to Congress and, perhaps, take control of both Houses.

A week is a long time in politics, and this week the GOP has put it’s money on riding the Mosque controversy all the way to the November finish line.

Philandering ex-speaker, Newt Gingrich has weighed in with comparing Islam to the Nazis and taunting the Japanese to plant their flag at the Pearl Harbor Memorial.

The new poll results saying that 31% of Republicans (and 10% of Democrats) think Obama is a Muslim must have convinced the Republican big guns to take this issue and wring the life out of it. Forget jobs, forget the economy, this pony will run and run.

It sux, doesn’t it, Holte? Obama is the only sane answer (and as you might know, I am not on board with him as my candidate any longer – but I wish him well in his term and support his good policies) only sane answer to even now… some Democrats. Is it weird enough out for you…yet? Geesh.
Good post. 🙂

It amazes me how many people are willing to put their petty grievances and selfish behavior above and before the health of the country.
