J.G. Thirwell is an Australian New Yorker who is probably best known under his earlier nom de guerre “Jim Foetus.”
He was a notable performer and artist associated with the largely forgotten but highly influential “no wave” scene of the 1970s. His current project is a musical collaboration called Steroid Maximus. The above tracks are themes he created for an interesting animated show called The Venture Bros.

… So the next time you’re doing the groceries or driving to the post office, let this play in your head.

I promise you, you’ll feel like James Bond driving Shirley Bassey around in a nitro-kitted Aston Martin with mag wheels… which is to say you’ll feel real bad ass and classy at the same time.

I love it! The Venture Bros are cool, but I’d never just listened to the music for its own sake. Like big band with lounge added.
