Fidel Castro – Cuban Revolution did not work

Read Time:53 Second

The 1959 Cuban Revolution has come under 2010 scrutiny from the man who captured the world’s attention by leading a rag-tag bunch of rebels into the Presidential Palace. Fidel Castro himself thinks that The Cuban economic model is not working and things need to change. What next, Sarah Palin saying she will be pairing up with President Barack Obama on the hit ABC show, “Dancing With The Stars.”

I knew we could all get along

The revolutionary leader told a visiting American journalist and a US-Cuba policy expert that the island’s state-dominated system was in need of change, a rare comment on domestic affairs from a man who has been careful to steer clear of local issues since illness forced him to step down as president four years ago.

The fact that things are not working efficiently on this cash-strapped Caribbean island is hardly news. Fidel’s brother Raul, the country’s president, has said the same thing repeatedly. But the blunt assessment by the father of Cuba’s 1959 revolution is sure to raise eyebrows.

I read some of that Atlantic Monthly article and some of the statements that Fidel says are stunning…for example, admits that he was wrong in the Cuban Missile crisis in requesting that Khrushchev “use them or lose them”

But most of all, where did you get that picture of Obama and Palin?? Funny!
