Montana: Illegal to be gay??

Homosexuals may be gaining more rights across the nation, but they can steer clear of Montana Republicans, thank you very much. The AP notes that the state party has adopted a platform that reiterates this statement of principle under the “crime” section: “We support the clear will of the people of Montana expressed by legislation to keep homosexual acts illegal.”
The party put it into place when the state supreme court struck down anti-gay laws in 1997, and even some GOP lawmakers think it’s time to ditch it. “I looked at that and said, ‘You’ve got to be kidding me,'” said one state senator. “Should it get taken out? Absolutely. Does anybody think we should be arresting homosexual people? If you take that stand, you really probably shouldn’t be in the Republican Party.”

Back in June/July maybe Texas and their GOP wanted to go ahead and recriminalize sodomy also in their platform. I had seen that on one of my LGBT blogs back then. They had some doozied they were trying to use for the platform. One of which, make English the official language of Texas and the US. Any pregnant woman that wnated an abortion had to go through an invasive ultrasound before she was allowed to go any further. What they all seem to forget is sodomy is not just for gay men. I guess they are just too stupid to think that far ahead and who is going to be policing this? Never mind, I don’t want to think about some idiot peering in through windows to see what is going on in someone elses bedroom.
They are all so obsessed with “teh ghey” secks it makes you wonder just how many of them have oppressed tendencies leaning to same sex pairings. I swear they are getting battier and battier, trying to outdo each other with the crazy stuff.
Not to be outdone, California and the platform here goes all in with the stoopid on defining marriage as 1man 1 woman, homosexuality should not be taught in schools and on and on.
One thing that never fails to strike me speechless too, it’s only gay men that these republicans have an issue with for the most part. I never hear about two women upsetting them, probably because they think they would have a shot or something in their warped fantasy minds. It appears they may have had some success in Uganda, so they are bringing the h8ters tour back to the US.
