Police to question JonBenet Ramsay’s brother
Colorado cops are seeking to again question the older brother of murdered beauty pageant tyke JonBenet Ramsay. Burke Ramsay was just 9 when his 6-year-old sister was found bound with cord, bludgeoned and strangled in the basement of their Boulder home. Burke was questioned and cleared by DNA after the 1996 murder, but investigators are hoping to jog new memories that may help them crack the troubling case, Daily Beast contributor Laurence Schiller revealed on the Early Show.
Suspicion first focused on the Ramsay family after a bizarre ransom note was found inside the home, and JonBenet’s body was somehow overlooked for hours. But family members were cleared, and DNA evidence points to an unknown outsider. A pedophile confessed to the girl’s murder four years ago, but no evidence linked him to the crime and no charges were filed. JonBenet’s father pleaded late last year for information from anyone which might finally lead to his daughter’s murderer. A Ramsay family spokesman denied police have asked to talk to Burke, but Schiller said investigators are determined to mine his memories again in a hunt for clues. “They’re never going to give up on this one,” said Schiller.

“The mice ate the marijuana” was an excuse no more believable than “the dog ate my homework” for authorities in Argentina, where eight police officers have been fired over the disappearance of around 1,200 pounds of pot.
Patsy handwritting was close match and it had to be someone that knew the bonus and they said only patsy and john and the personnel office knew how much the bonus was. And why would patsy put on the same clothes to travel in. rich people don’t do that to me sound like she was up all night. i just want who kill that beautiful little girl found.
I don’t think Burke Ramsey had anything to do with his sister’s murder. Maybe the authorities are just wanting to jog his memory about something he may have seen or heard that may bring some leads. When Burke was 9 years old, he didn’t look like he would be strong enough to carry JonBenet to the wine cellar. She was placed there; not dragged there. The dust on the floor around her was undisturbed. A lot of people still believe that Patsy Ramsey had something to do with it, but the same DNA that cleared John Mark Karr also clears Patsy Ramsey as well. I would love to see justice for JonBenet, but I’m doubting it will ever happen. 🙁
I said then and I say now that the cops screwed up that investigation so bad from the beginning that it will never result in a conviction,
I was working at the Denver Rocky Mtn News at the time. Frankly, because the police botched it from the get-go and there was so much infighting between all the law enforcement agencies and everyone else involved. I’m skeptical that anyone will ever be charged and prosecuted.
I notice that the DB doesn’t mention that Schiller wrote “Perfect Murder, Perfect Town” based on this bizarre Keystone Kops farce.
Who done it? A lot of us suspected dear old mom, if for no other reason than she abused this poor child by entering her into all those silly pageants in order to relive her own unfulfilled fantasies. Nuts.
It’ll be interesting.
This case has fascinated me for years and I have always suspected the brother.
