Touchdown! That’s a really cool way of pttinug it!
We have that book, and I am reading it now. The video is a fantastic synopsis and the whole thing reads like the classes I had in psychology and evolutionary biology. Full of studies that everyone should know about, but presented in a way that demonstrates the important role of empathic behavior, and how we could be moving toward a period of greater understanding.
Sobering and disturbing evidence that some animals have a sense of self (chimps, elephants, dolphins) makes me even more disgusted with the humans who exploit and murder our fellow creatures.
So far a great book! (about 2″ thick so be warned)
That’s good to hear. 2″, huh? I just finished one that was as dense as lead, hoping that the next one would be more of a flighty breeze. Oh, well.
Great stuff Lawyer…got me thinkin…grrr, I don’t want to think….
It’s a hell of a lot of info packed into 10 minutes. I was trying to watch it again after three scotch and sodas and it is making my brain hurt while making less sense. Go figure.
Great video, shared with several people in my life that I believe need the reminder we are all connected. I ordered it too, so maybe we can compare notes after we read it.
Sounds cool.
Cheers old bean. T’ra
It gives a person a little hope for the future. Hope is good.
AYUP Holte, if you don’t have hope you have lost it all.

Stunning video~! Wonderful.
I think of sacred compassion as NON dyfunctional EMPATHY (cuz you know who co-dependent we can all be) …
It was a great video… I’ll be posting it!
I ordered the book of the same title by the guy. If it is a good read, a review shall be forthcoming. It’ll be a while though. I ordered it with free super saver shipping.
You should try half.com, if you have’t already. Shipping is usually about 3 dollars, but you can get books at way less than even used bookstores. Another site I was turned onto lately is Swaptree.com. You make a listing of things you have, you want to get rid of and they will match you up with someone that has what you want. Saves the carbon footprint by recycling books, games, music. Only cost is for you to ship your item to the person they tell you. I’ve used it several times to get a few things and it has worked beautifully each time.
LOL, Jess is on the cutting edge, she has enuff brains for two people 🙂
