GOP wants Democrats to Help them Repeal Health Care Reform

Read Time:1 Minute, 40 Second

I will never understand a Republican, not will I ever understand why those other then the rich and wealthy would vote for one.  Here is yet another example of an early effort to take away from the people and give to the corporations, i.e. the insurance industry.

Granted HCR isn’t what it could have, or should have been, but it is a huge step in the right direction and it is already helping millions, myself included.  This irritates the Right, because what benefits the middle class regulates and limits the outrageous profits garnered by the monstrous insurance industry angers the Republicans.  The latter has been robbing the American people for decades and reform has gone a long way to stop their discriminatory practices.  Now the Republicans want to take away from us and give back to their corporate masters.

I would appeal to the Congress, the Democrats, and the occasional “thinking” Republican, to work toward improving not destroying health care reform, but I am afraid this appeal will fall on deaf ears.  Here is the latest:

Republicans are leaning on at-risk or moderate Senate Democrats to help them pick apart the Democrats’ health care reform bill. Strategists tell Politico that they think they can sway Ben Nelson, Jim Webb, and Jon Tester, since all come from red-tinged states and face 2012 reelection campaigns. They also expect help from the newly-elected Joe Manchin, who campaigned on the promise to repeal “the bad parts of ObamaCare.”

“I agree with health reform,” Manchin said last week. “Do I agree with everything in this package? No. I’ve always tried to fix things.” In the House, Republicans could pass an outright repeal of health care if they wanted to, but since Democrats still control the Senate, it’ll be an uphill battle to make even modest modifications. One they seem likely to pull off: repealing the 1099 tax reporting requirement, which even President Obama said last week he’d be open to reevaluating.

Something else they can lick the republicans boots about. I swear you would think the reps have been in the majority even when they are in the minority they get things done. Why can the dems not just stand up and fight for the people, the way they are supposed to? No need to answer at all, it’s thoroughly frustrating to sit back and watch at times.

The Democrats do not stand up for the people because they are trying to play both sides of the fence. There is no doubt that corporations are running both Republicans/Tea Party/Democrats/ Independents because money is what keeps us going. We are in a downfall as a country because of our emphasis on money. Why are we as a country mad at the government about getting us jobs, when in fact it is those corporations that let us go who do not wish to pay any more taxes and threatens our government by laying many more of us off our jobs and behind close doors sending out media that it is your government fault. It is time for us to become realist and stop listening to supposed reps in Washington and our faithful (lol) media.

The HCR bill contains lots of fuckery that was originally the ideas of the right and their buddies, Big Pharma and the insurance industry.

Most people, like my 31 year old son, won’t get any insurance until that lousy 2014 kick-in date. Also, 20 million American’s will still not have health insurance, even after that date.

If the Dems and The Big O cave on anything else in that friggin bill, I will vote Green all the way down the ballot come 2012.
