The Who Live in New York City in October 2001
A short month and a half after the 9/11 terrorist attacks, The Who, and others, performed a free concert for the police, firefighters and volunteers involved in the rescue and recovery in the rubble at ground zero. You can only imagine the emotion rushing through and felt by the crowd at Madison Square Garden as The Who performed Won’t Get Fooled Again, and especially when Roger Daltrey belted out the most iconoclastic rebel yell in rock ‘n’ roll history.

I remember the concert very well and the Who’s performance was definitely the highlight of the evening. I wasn’t at the concert but being in NY, the concert was a powerful statement for everyone in the city.
Good old “The Who” they did some powerful stuff and ‘Won’t Get Fooled Again’ is classic, it reeks of political disappointment.
