Do your part to stop the sale of lion meat-Join the FB group!

Read Time:28 Second

I never just leave a link on a post, however this is an exception.  If you read yesterday’s story….

University of Arizona: BOYCOTT “Boca Tacos y Tequila” for selling lion meat tacos!

…..and were suitably outraged, I encourage you to get involved here:

Stop Boca Tacos y Tequila from serving lion meat

The eating of lion meat is only the beginning.  If we allow this sort of thing to continue, without protest, then we will be to blame when next we see cats and dogs on the menu just like in China.

Looks like Boca will pull the lion from the fire.

Ashamed of those individuals in those boycott groups and their ignorant behaviors. And don’t come back on here saying,, ( Well it worked didn’t It ), yea, maybe, but you placed shame and disgrace on those of us who take pride in the way we handle ourselves involving our Animal Rights Activities. We’re glad he chose not to sell this dish, but there’s allot of clean up work to do. And we’ll be here to do that…. Thanks for publishing what you did Michael.

Mr. RSVP has got it wrong, you can’t join any group on Facebook, unless you ARE a Facebooker.

You guys have to help me find another group out of face book. I’ve been trying and can’t really find anything, but I will NOT join the book of faces, even for something like this.

Johnny D. called and he wants you to join…really.

Jess, I am with you. I will not join Face Book! No, no, hell no!

I don’t think I deserve my nose, and neither does my face. We deserve a better nose, which cannot happen without removing this one.

Joining Face Book is inviting people to gobble up your time with nonsense. I am then forced to look at pictures of grandkids and what Scruffy did last week, even if I don’t know Scruffy or the grandkids or want to (not my grandkids, but the grandchildren of others). Additionally, I object to the orgy of openness that is typical of the Face Book community. It is not only conceptually boring and time consuming, but also feels a bit invasive.

I do market MMA on other sites and I know people come here as a result, as I seem them comment, either on this site or others. I don’t know the volume. It is not probably very substantial, but is certainly as substantial as a Face Book Account with my name on it would be. I suspect more so.

I have pasted links to MMA all over the web, as it is often a source of inspiration. Let us consider the web my Face Book wall.

Now, as for everyone else: you really should get a Face Book account. Not only is good for your electronic social development, it is also a bit like voting. As a member of MMA, your Face Book vote should be cast. It is the patriotic thing to do, and as Mike pointed out, it is also self-serving.

Should I clean out my locker?

NO, do not clean out your locker, and do not join Facebook if you have no mind to. I have no idea how pretty your nose or your face is, but best leave it the way it is.

There are all kinds of privacy settings and application blockers to keep you from seeing (and others from seeing) what you want to. If you don’t give a rat’s turd about “Farmville” or “Mafia Wars” you will not have to see those type of things.

You don’t have to look at other people’s photos either, and I know plenty of people (especially red-state atheists) who have an FB pseudonym to prevent their being fired from their jobs, but that allows them to interact with other like-minded people. There are some great groups on there too.

It is nothing like “myspace”. Most of the stuff I see on my page is posts to links from very worthy news stories I would definitely have missed had one of my FB “e-friends” not picked up on it first.

I did some checking on this as it seems so absurd as to be one of those “urban myths”.

It’s not a myth and I would like to commend Mike in his pursuit of this. He has gotten involved with several contacts as shown on that FB page and hopefully his actions can make a difference.
