Glenn Beck’s radio show dropped by New York station WOR

Glenn Beck has been dropped by New York radio station WOR due to poor ratings. Beck’s radio show is due to go off the air on January 17, and he is being replaced by Mike Gallagher, another nationally syndicated conservative talk show host.

Although Beck’s radio show is the third-biggest in the country, WOR program director Scott Wakefield told the Daily News, “Somewhat to our surprise, the show wasn’t getting what we wanted.” WOR is one of New York’s two biggest talk radio stations, and the Daily News said it is unclear which local station Beck will be able to move his show to.

Meanwhile, Politico notes that Beck’s television ratings took a slight tumble in 2010. He was down 6.5% in total viewers compared to 2009, and 2.5% in the coveted A25-54 demo.

Beck got his message out……. The truth is not always embraced…….and it is my belief Georgie boy won this round but he won it too late. Glenn beck is still standing strong and will continue to go forward. And truth seekers will go forward. Remember what Beck said prepare for the worst. Food storage is important …….really it can not hurt……think about it.

I too, being a New Yorker, was extremely disappointed that I could not listen to Glen in the morning. And I certainly will not be contributing to Mike Gallagher’s ratings. I try my best to tune in to WELI, 960 am, broadcasting from CT, which does not come in so clearly. When I e-mailed the program director at WOR to express my disappointment, I was advised that it was due to ratings and he also then felt compelled to explain that it was not due to any “outside influences”. Makes me wonder…Looks like WOR may have taken a “donation” from Soros. And Stella, if you don’t like him, then don’t listen to him!

I am disappointed that Glenn Beck’s show was cancelled. As a former journalist, attorney and mother of three, I found the show to be bold, courageous and informative because of the amount of research he and his staff provided. I think you made a big mistake. Main stream journalist no longer follows the traditional rules and opines and chooses what to report. You removed one of the alternate points of view. I am a typical Tea Party supporter and feel somehow you have sold out and are not reporting the true story. In these challenging times when ordinary citizens are called upon to speak for our country and Constitution, your station dropped the ball.

{~applause!!!~}

That Beck is losing his audience gives me hope that Americans haven’t completely lost their minds. Beck’s rant is not a First Amendment issue, but maniacal ravings of a loud mouth whose sanity is barely in question. And, yes, I am being kind.

Now can we get rid of that palin freak…? Please?

By all means be sure to erase the first amendment too! It is so inconvenent! Luckily we have special people like you to choose for everyone. After all, I hate having the choice to tune in or tune out. You’re so smart and know everything!
