The text was supposed to be taken from a speech given by newly elected Australian Prime Minister, Julia Gillard.  It’s validity is in question but it’s being presented here for your reading pleasure.

For example she allegedly said that Muslims who want to live under Islamic Sharia law were told on Wednesday to get out of Australia , as the government targeted radicals in a bid to head off potential terror attacks..

Separately, Gillard angered some Australian Muslims on Wednesday by saying she supported spy agencies monitoring the nation’s mosques.

Here is the “speech” in its entirety:

“IMMIGRANTS, NOT AUSTRALIANS, MUST ADAPT . . .
Take It Or Leave It.

I am tired of this nation worrying about whether we are offending some individual or their culture. Since the terrorist attacks on Bali , we have experienced a surge in patriotism by the majority of Australians.

This culture has been developed over two centuries of struggles, trials and victories by millions of men and women who have sought freedom.

We speak mainly ENGLISH, not Spanish, Lebanese, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, or any other language. Therefore, if you wish to become part of our society . Learn the language!

Most Australians believe in God. This is not some Christian, right wing, political push, but a fact, because Christian men and women, on Christian principles, founded this nation, and this is clearly documented It is certainly appropriate to display it on the walls of our schools. If God offends you, then I suggest you consider another part of the world as your new home, because God is part of our culture.

We will accept your beliefs, and will not question why All we ask is that you accept ours, and live in harmony and peaceful enjoyment with us.

This is OUR COUNTRY, OUR LAND, and OUR LIFESTYLE, and we will allow you every opportunity to enjoy all this. But once you are done complaining, whining, and griping about Our Flag, Our Pledge, Our Christian beliefs, or Our Way of Life, I highly encourage you take advantage of one other great Australian freedom, THE RIGHT TO LEAVE.

If you aren’t happy here then LEAVE. We didn’t force you to come here. You asked to be here. So accept the country YOU accepted.”

The fact is there is no evidence Julia Gillard ever made such a speech. This is a hoax, it is also an example of how the hate groups around the world spread their message. Lies, lies and more lies.

In the wake of the Tuscon massacre we are seeing more rhetoric from individuals saying Jared Lee Loughner is Jewish, and a liberal because it is possible he read Karl Marx and the famous socialist, Adolf Hitler.

Sarah Palin’s now infamous “Blood Libel” statement has angered Jews and Gentiles alike, but her followers are cheering her on because they want to believe, like Palin does, that her violent imagery played no part in Loughner’s actions.

These examples portray the exception in America, not the normal course of behavior, despite what the mainstream media will have us believe.  Regardless, small bombs can make a lot of noise and they can cause a lot of damage.  In reality, people like Sarah Palin and her ilk are “small bombs” but in the greater scheme of things they can cause explosions beyond their size and the shrapnel that is broadcast can have serious consequences.

Sadly, the media is out of the control of the people.  It is driven by profit and sensationalism drives that profit.  Some news outlets such as Fox News, is beyond the pale.  Their rhetoric drives hate and encourages violence both through their direct and subliminal messages.  Unfortunately they have a huge following, and that following buys their advertising products, which drives up revenue for the empire of Roger Ailes et al.  While MSNBC is touted as the left wing version of Fox News it doesn’t come close to the vitriol perpetrated by those at Propaganda Central.

In conclusion there is nothing for it.  Those of us with sane and reasoning minds understand poison for what it is.  However, we live in a country where over 40% think creationism, not evolution, is responsible for life on earth.  So much for those with sane and reasoning minds.

The problem is not with every religion.. The problem with Islam is that it tells people to hate and kill. The “problem” with other religions is not that they tell you to do things like that or that they are bad in their teachings but that people are bad followers of them – the problem is the people. The radical Muslims are actually being good followers of their teachings…

No, they just do it, they don’t need a reason. What did Christians do when they came to America and Canada? What did they do when they went to India? Who the fuck are Australians? The country was formed by sending all the garbage, junkies and criminals from UK away. Stop acting like you’re better than everyone, and stop generalizing and saying “Muslims kill in the name of religion.” EVERY race, religion, culture has extremists – if you document the evils of the Caucasians vs. the evil’s of the Muslim’s, you would be surprised as to who is the Greater Evil. Just because the media feeds you garbage does not mean you should believe it, do some research, stop being ignorant and taking other peoples opinions and passing them off as your own.

I personally don’t respect anyone who straps a bomb to themself and claims it for “the good of all and of allah”. Try calling it racist, but I want to protect the innocent families (including mine), who have done nothing wrong, and are caught in the line of fire of religion, money and cultural beliefs. I saw the towers fall, I knew people who were killed.

I do not want any belief system invading my wonderful country and killing my freedom. This my friend is what muslims want.

Please prove me wrong… no one has yet been able to.

I want to hear directly from a Muslim, that they have no intent of hurting people in the name of Allah and for the Jyhad, including non-believers of Islam.

Yes, there is a small minority of Muslims who are disgruntled and will harm and kill people, but such people exist in all communities, e.g anders breivik, white power skinheads etc. most of us consider ourselves part of the west and we want to get along with everyone and live quiet lives.

            Hi Muhammad,
First; Thank you very much for taking your time to answer this concerned message from Rahbil (probably on behalf of a lot of other debators).
Second; let me Invest some of my time to apologise for you and many other – not just muslims but religious, ethnic, demographic etc. groupings that these days/years have to specify the obvious. That most of us just wants to get along with eachother in the best possible manner.
It should not be necessary to do so. I mean; If we have 1 billion muslims in the World and they (you)all wanted to go beserk, then we would definately have a Whole other scenario.

Now, unfortunately the bottom level of general education, specific knowledge of the subject and simple inter-personal empathy is very low when communicating on mass media like the internet. So just as well as you feel it necessary to state that terrorit behavior is a niche thinking, then I feel the same need to state that the need for Rahbil to insist that some muslim should take the responsibility to answer on behalf of a billion individuals, I feel the same need to stress that if there is 3 billion christians in the Word, they probably don’t have the same meaning on this subject.
            Thank you,
            Mads

I do not know if PM Julia Gillard said that, but I am sure she would be agree with the statement.
But here what other political figures openly said about the subject:

      1. The former PM John Howard said that the Government will go inside mosques, prayer halls and Islamic schools to ensure they are not preaching terrorism “we have a right to know whether there is, within any section of the Islamic community, a preaching of the virtues of terrorism” and encouraged islamic schools to teach their students about Australian traditions and culture.

      2. Dr. Brendan John Nelson an Australian politician & Diplomat. When he was a Minister of Education (2005) he said to the Australian Federation of Islamic Councils:
“If you want to be an Australian, if you want to raise your children in Australia, we fully expect those children to be taught and to accept Australian values and beliefs … We want them to understand OUR history and OUR culture, the extent to which we believe in mateship and giving another person a fair go, and basically if people DO NOT WANT to SUPPORT and ACCEPT and ADOPT and TEACH Australian values then, they SHOULD clear off” he said.
      http://web.archive.org/web/20060118005239/http://www.abc.net.au/news/newsitems/200508/s1445181.htm

      3. Peter Howard Costello, an Australian politician and lawyer, the longest-serving Treasurer in Australian history, a Member of the Australian House of Representatives from 1990 to 2009, also served as the Deputy Leader of the Liberal Party from 1994 to 2007.
This is what he said in his interview with Tony Jones, Lateline (23 August 2005):

TONY JONES: Now, over the past 24 hours you’ve been repeating the notion that migrants, evidently ISLAMIC MIGRANTS, WHO DO NOT LIKE Australia, or Australian values, should think of PACKING UP and MOVING TO ANOTHER COUNTRY. Is that a fair assessment?

TREASURER: What I’ve said is that this is a country, which is founded on a DEMOCRACY. According to our CONSTITUTION, we have a secular state. Our laws are made by the Australian Parliament. If those are not your values, if you want a country which has Sharia law or a theocratic state, then AUSTRALIA IS NOT FOR YOU. This is not the kind of country where you would feel comfortable if you were opposed to democracy, parliamentary law, independent courts and so I would say to people who don’t feel comfortable with those values there might be other countries where they’d feel more comfortable with their own values or beliefs.

Well presented Alondra, The issue is if they are willing to get into unseaworthy boats and pay people smugglers tens of thousands of dollars to get to Australia they then turn around and want Australians to change our way of life to suit them. Those who have entered our country illegally have sued for hundreds of thousands of dollars because they were not processed fast enough or someone did not jump fast enough when they (the illegals sorry refugees) said jump. Speak to anyone who has worked at any of the detention centres of what they have to put up with on a daily basis..the abuse, violence and wondering at the end of the day if you will be still alive cause one of the refugees has tried to stab them. You see these workers are not allowed to retaliate in any form and must put up with the attitudes (and worse if you are a female working in the detention system). They then set fire to and destroy the roof over thier heads and everything in it, that we the taxpayers are paying for because they think they deserve total freedom from the get go..to do what??? This Labor government is not doing sufficient background checks on these illegals (mainly because they throw thier documentation overboard or burn it as soon as they land in Indonesia) and if it is up to the Greens they will be released into the general population as soon as they arrive with no checks at all. I wonder how many of these (illegal) refugees Hanon-Young, Christine Milne, Bob Brown and the rest of them have living with them under the Labor Governments $300 per person deal???? Mind you the “refugees get more than that every week just for themselves while taking advantage of those trying to help them by offering them a home to live in. One lady has told me that she was verbally abused on a daily basis by an Afghani refugee she took into her home. He expected her to do everything for him, used her phone to make calls back home to family n friends running up her phone bill and invited his “friends” around eating her out of house and home. After 2 weeks she asked him to go..leaving her out of pocket by nearly $700 due to the phone bills, food electricity and having to clean the mess in which he left the room she had provided him with.
My issue is…if they want to live in Australia…welcome…I’ll help in any way I can BUT do not start complaining about our values, beliefs and way of life. Get a job and be a paying member of our society, Don’t try to take advantage of the kindness of Australians and above all else treat everyone, especially our female population with RESPECT…Respect and accept our way of life and values and we will open our doors to you and accept you for who you are. If that is not how you want to act I’m sure we can find another leaky boat to return you to your own peacful country.
P.S. One other question I have is…our troops are in Afghanistan fighting and dying to protect and help rebuild thier country, train thier troops so why are there so many Afghani men arriving illegally in Australia. Why are they not staying in thier own country and helping our troops in thier efforts to rebuild, bring order and protecting thier families (who most of them have left behind wives and children).???? They consider themselves more important than the wife and children!! Is this the type of people we want living in our country.

Its very easy to handpick a few comments and rightfully or wrongly attribute them to an overall concensus or opinion that is accusing the majority of the terrible act of racism. True there are many racists in australia, as is the case with all countries….no one would argue with that, its a sad state of affairs but its what all reasonable human beings at what ever point in time we find ourselves….have to face….racism is a disease. We just have to fight the good fight.
Think of it this way…..racism knows no borders, saturates this small planet of ours…..you are right, Australia has racism….. we have racism between our ethnic minorities ……run your finger down the list and tell me who hasn’t …”sorry…..I’m being facetious.” …..we all know India is a shining light hmmmm…..think about what you are saying and fight this evil from within….hate is the product of ingrorance and above all fear. And that is one reason we have republics, not democracies. A literal democracy would be mob rule. I would hate to risk going back to when Blacks and Indians( or the Irish, or in N. Ireland, the Catholics) could be murdered with impunity. All of those actions may have been illegal when they occurred, but they often had the approval of the masses.
Are you saying that, although the actual words of the alleged speech were a hoax and a lie, they represent a greater truth in that many people would agree with the words? Be careful with that line of thinking, J. Punk, because, if you ever visit the U S of A, you might then be forced to adopt a belief in Creationism just after becoming a Southern Baptist.

In that speech hoax or not, it says nothing about forcing anyone to adopt anything. It says ‘We will accept your beliefs, and will not question why. All we ask is that
you accept ours, and live in harmony and peaceful enjoyment with us.’ The good ole U, S, of A as you call it states that they are accepting of all cultures and religions but Christians and Creationism which u claim would be force on u is shown more prejudice against it than anything else. I am in my 30’s now but when I was in a public high school, you could be expelled for having the Bible on school grounds or praying at school even over your lunch but they had the Koran and even the satanic bible in the library. EVERYONE deserves the same right to believe what they want as long as it doesn’t physically infringe on another person. But I agree with the speech above no matter who wrote it…if you don’t like what goes on then leave. I wouldn’t go to Spain or China and expect everyone to cater to me speaking English just like I wouldn’t go there and expect them to change their style of government or culture. If you go to a land that is foreign to you then u adapt. If you can’t adapt then go back to the place that did what you were comfortable with.

This is OUR country (no matter where you live) you are welcome to come, but accept our way of life, don’t expect us to change for you in our country. If I were to choose to live in a Muslim nation could I expect to be allowed to establish a Jeffersonian Democracy, espousing Christian values and a create a government based on English Common law? Big HarryH you would rightly call me a fool for even considering such an idea and rightly so. What pray tell us the difference? Love (accept) me or leave me. HATE SPEECH? I think NOT.

Right on! It’s apparent to me a lot of people out there aren’t all that high in reading comprehension or they’d have seen or at least not have ignored that. I don’t see anywhere in there, any forcing of lifestyle onto anybody. Just “leave if you can’t tolerate this place”. On the face of it that seems reasonable to me. Why on earth would anybody move to a country that they think is unacceptable in the first place. They remind me of those who move into an airport approach path and THEN notice the noise. Cognitive dissonance at its finest. Beginning with the hippie movement, I’ve noticed too many of those who want their “alternative lifestyles” to be accepted are most reluctant to do this for anyone else.

I am a Christian conservative who has a peeve about false emails. I spotted this one right off as a copy of one which cited PM John Howard and Treas Peter Costello as having made those comments about Muslims. It was wrong then, and it’s wrong now.

But to blame Palin for the madman in Tucson is just as wrong. Even Obama insisted “…let us remember it is not because a simple lack of civility caused this tragedy — it did not…”

Look up his speech’s text. As to Palin’s map with “crosshairs” it is no different than the Liberals’ map with “Bullseyes” See “targets for Democratic gains in 2004.″

Let’s cut the nonsense and quit blaming one another for the acts of a total nutjob.

            An example? Sure –

A “humor bit” from the Randi Rhodes Show – “A spoiled child (Bush) is telling us our Social Security isn’t safe anymore, so he is going to fix it for us. Well, here’s your answer, you ungrateful whelp: [audio sound of 4 gunshots being fired.] Just try it, you little b*stard. [audio of gun being cocked].”

Ted Rall – “…In an ideal world, American consumers could be convinced to do the right thing through an appeal to logic with public service messages like the ‘What Would Jesus Drive?’ TV campaign, but the kind of people who would buy a car that increases the risk to other motorists in an accident can’t be reasoned with. They’re selfish and stupid. It’s unfortunate that drivers must worry that their SUVs are being targeted by insulting stickers and Molotov cocktails, but one thing’s for sure: It couldn’t be happening to a more deserving group of people.”

The Village Voice’s Michael Feingold, in a theater review of all places – “Republicans don’t believe in the imagination, partly because so few of them have one, but mostly because it gets in the way of their chosen work, which is to destroy the human race and the planet. Human beings, who have imaginations, can see a recipe for disaster in the making; Republicans, whose goal in life is to profit from disaster and who don’t give a hoot about human beings, either can’t or won’t. Which is why I personally think they should be exterminated before they cause any more harm.” —

Wanda Sykes – (Rush Limbaugh)” just wants the country to fail. To me that’s treason. He’s not saying anything different than what Osama Bin Laden is saying. You might want to look into this, sir, because I think Rush Limbaugh was the 20th hijacker but he was just so strung out on Oxycontin he missed his flight. … Rush Limbaugh, I hope the country fails, I hope his kidneys fail, how about that?” —

Chris Matthews – “You guys see Live and Let Die, the great Bond film with Yaphet Kotto as the bad guy, Mr. Big? In the end they jam a big CO2 pellet in his face and he blew up. I have to tell you, Rush Limbaugh is looking more and more like Mr. Big, and at some point somebody’s going to jam a CO2 pellet into his head and he’s going to explode like a giant blimp. That day may come. Not yet. But we’ll be there to watch. I think he’s Mr. Big, I think Yaphet Kotto. Are you watching, Rush?”

Spike Lee – “If I got (Condi Rice) a— on camera, I would put my Mars Air Jordans so far up her butt that the Mayo Clinic would have to remove them.”

University Professor Ward Churhill on supporting soldiers who frag their officers – “For those of you who do, as a matter of principle, oppose war in any form, the idea of supporting a conscientious objector who’s already been inducted [and] in his combat service in Iraq might have a certain appeal. But let me ask you this: Would you render the same support to someone who hadn’t conscientiously objected, but rather instead rolled a grenade under their line officer in order to neutralize the combat capacity of their unit?”

Liberal radio host, Mike Malloy – “Drudge? Aw, Drudge, somebody ought to wrap a strong Republican entrail around his neck and hoist him up about six feet in the air and watch him bounce.” —

The Washington Post’s Courtland Milloy – “I know how the ‘tea party’ people feel, the anger, venom and bile that many of them showed during the recent House vote on health-care reform. I know because I want to spit on them, take one of their ‘Obama Plan White Slavery’ signs and knock every racist and homophobic tooth out of their Cro-Magnon heads.”

Obama campaign contributor Norman Laboom – My Congressman Eric Cantor, and you and your cupcake evil wife…” “Remember Eric…our judgment time, the final Yom Kippur has been given. You are a liar, you’re a Lucifer, you’re a pig, a greedy fucking pig, you’re an abomination, you receive my bullets in…your office, remember they will be placed in your heads. You and your children are Lucifer’s abominations.”

Rahm Emmanuel – “Never let a serious crisis go to waste”.

Geraldo Rivera – “It’s good (Michelle Malkin’s) in D.C. and I’m in New York. I’d spit on her if I saw her”.

Cindy Sheehan – “America has been killing people on this continent since it was started. This country is not worth dying for…”

Wanda Sykes – “…Rush Limbaugh, I hope the country fails, I hope his kidneys fail, how about that?”

Ted Rall – “Over time, however, the endless war in Iraq began to play a role in natural selection. Only idiots signed up; only idiots died. Back home, the average I.Q. soared”.

Mike Malloy – “I have a good news to report; Glen Beck appears closer to suicide – I’m hoping that he does it on camera…”

New York city councilman Charles Barron – “I want to go up to the closest white person and say: ‘You can’t understand this, it’s a black thing’ and then slap him, just for my mental health”.

James Cameron – “I believe in ecoterrorism.”

Liberal talk show host Charles Karel Bouley on the air. – “F*** God D*mned Joe the God D*mned Motherf*cking plumber! I want Motherf*cking Joe the plumber dead.”

Bill Maher – “I have zero doubt that if Dick Cheney was not in power, people wouldn’t be dying needlessly tomorrow….I’m just saying if he did die, other people, more people would live. That’s a fact.” He also said he wished Dick Cheney had been killed in a terrorist attack.

Alec Baldwin – “I’m thinking to myself if we were in other countries, we would all, right now, all of us together, . . . would go down to Washington and we would stone [Republican U.S. Representative] Henry Hyde to death! We would stone him to death! Wait! . . . Shut up! No, shut up! I’m not finished. We would stone Henry Hyde to death, and we would go to their homes and we’d kill their wives and their children. We would kill their families.”

Keith Halloran, a Democratic candidate for state representative in New Hampshire, after former Alaska Sen. Ted Stevens died in a plane crash – “Just wish Sarah and Levy were on board,” Halloran wrote, apparently taking aim at the former Alaska Gov. and her daughter’s ex-fiancée, Levi Johnston.

St. Petersburg Democratic Club – “..And then there’s Rumsfeld who said of Iraq ‘We have our good days and our bad days.’ We should put this S.O.B. up against a wall and say ‘This is one of our bad days’ and pull the trigger.”

New York State Comptroller Alan Hevesi – describing fellow Democrat Sen. Charles Schumer as “the man who, how do I phrase this diplomatically, who will put a bullet between the President’s eyes if he could get away with it.”

USA Today’s Julianne Malveaux – (On Clarence Thomas) – “I hope his wife feeds him lots of eggs and butter and he dies early like many black men do, of heart disease.”

PBS’s ultra-left-wing Nina Totenberg: “If there is retributive justice, Sen. Jesse Helms will get AIDS from a transfusion, or one of his grandchildren will get it.”

Totenberg quote # 2 – (during the flap over General Jerry Boykin’s views of Islam and the war on terrorism), ‘I hope he’s not long for this world.’

University of New Mexico professor Richard Berthold informed his young students that blowing up the Pentagon earns “my vote.”

MSNBC’s Ed Schultz, who once said of Dick Cheney’s heart, “(W)e ought to rip it out and kick it around and stuff it back in him.”

The rifle scope sights and with the term reload has only one meaning. To a rational, level headed person do they mean killing someone. We certainly hope not. To some folks with only a thread like grasp on reality that may be exactly what they think. Your Champion the Palin, exasperated her own situation then by putting out a video on the day of the memorial for the victims of that tragic day by trying to portray herself as a victim of a passion filled term “blood libel” which is way out of line with common decency.

Some bullies don’t know they are bullies and some “hate groups” as you call them don’t realize they are hate groups. So the question is are you a strong enough person to really look at your beliefs and decides if you are hateful in your beliefs? Hate of any other person or belief is the start of a “hate group”. You can set boundaries in your country and life and not be hateful. Compassion kills hate. Hate begets more hate. You can believe one side or that other but the smartest thing to do is to pick and choose what you believer. Neither side is completely right. There needs to be integration. I believe we should set boundaries in this country to keep people safe. It is not about showing hate. It’s common sense. If you don’t like seafood don’t go to a seafood restaurant; there are many choices of restaurants to choose from. The same with countries. If you don’t like what a country stands for or believes; don’t go there or don’t stay there. No need to hate a group or a political party or a nation; there are many to choose from. U believe what u want and I wont bash and I should be able to believe what I want and not be bashed.

If the Gillard speech is a hoax, then your evaluation is just as much of a hoax. Fox News does not promote violence. In fact, it is the only news outlet that shows both sides to issues, something that is rarely seen on other news shows. Palin attackers are irrational in their vitriolic analysis of her every move, from hair to children to living in Alaska. I don’t support Palin but I do condemn the over the top attacks on her. A lot of what Palin has said is just common sense, some of it useless. Those that fear her straight talking are the ones that elevate her as a person of value. As for the Gillard “hoax” speech, I generally agree with it in its content but it is something a leader of a civilized country would never say. If you want to use this blog to undercut creationism, Palin and Fox News, fess up to it. Your mask is on crooked.

Patricia, thank you for your enlightenment on The Palin. The problem with her so called common sense is that it rarely makes sense. It is she that usually makes a first ill advised first strike with little thought about the dynamics of her word choices. Then when challenged on them she immediately becomes defensive and strikes back from her one sided tweets and face book posts. The closest she comes to an actual open discussion of her position is with Hannity of Fox News who is an ardent supporter of hers and allows her free rein to state what ever she wishes with out being challenged. She never dares to face true reporters who will ask her to explain her positions in rational terms. This the same as it was when she was claiming that there were death panels stipulated in the Health Care Reform Bill when in fact there never were. She never once admitted that she was wrong. She has deliberately misinterpreted other issues and never allowed herself to be questioned in an open forum about those. If it is your choice to defend someone who continuously misrepresents the truth without answering for it, so be it. Just don’t ask us to sit idly by and be quiet about it.

Buster do you deny that The Palin led the charge about the so called “death Panels” in the healthcare bill? It is on the record the many times she used that term. It is a fact that there were no “death panels” in the health care bill.

Do you deny that Sarah Palin posted rifle scopes on several congressional districts including the congresswoman who was shot and used the term “reload?”

Do you deny that she has not agreed to an honest straightforward interview with any news reporters other than on Fox News to respond to questions about her positions on issues?

Do you deny that the only way she gets out her messages is through Facebook, Twitter, Speeches, and news releases to Fox news?

If so, please state you case giving date and times. The only hoax here sir is Ms Palin. I have no problem with you supporting Ms Palin to whatever degree you feel like it. But if you are going to challenge my assertions at least have the brains to do it with facts not mere broad meaningless accusations. Otherwise you are doing just as she does, just whining.

WAFormby – So you don’t like the term “death panel”, is that your hold up? Because if you rationally examine healthcare, you would be aware that death panels exist now.

Insurance companies have actuaries who decide how much money to “invest” in a person’s care. A government run program would also have people deciding how much to invest. The difference is …. you can choose a healthcare provider but once the government takes over healthcare you are stuck with them. A government run death panel is a reality. Read about it.

You also rail on Palin for not granting interviews to the press that hates her. She chooses instead to talk directly to people who support her. That is called “grass roots” communication. Nothing wrong with that.

Bulls eye targets and military metaphors in politics. Have you ever seen or heard another politician use weapons based rhetoric? How about Obama?

          ** Obama“They Bring a Knife…We Bring a Gun”
** Obama to His Followers:“Get in Their Faces!”
** Obama on ACORN Mobs:“I don’t want to quell anger. I think people are right to be angry! I’m angry!”
** Obama to His Mercenary Army:“Hit Back Twice As Hard”
** Obama on the private sector:“We talk to these folks… so I know whose ass to kick.“
** Obama to voters: Republican victory would mean “hand to hand combat”
** Obama to lib supporters:“It’s time to Fight for it.”
** Obama to Latino supporters:“Punish your enemies.”
** Obama to democrats:“I’m itching for a fight.”

Your problem is you hate Palin and will take ANYTHING she says or does out of context to smear her. You complain because she resonates with people and will not suck up to the press you think is important.

Compare this to anything Sarah Palin ever did or said:

Hoax or not the statements made in the supposed speech are indeed the views shared by many Americans. The “left” in America are the ones inciting revolution and rage. The “left” believes that tradition (like the Constitution) has no place. Many Christians feel as though, all other religious views are being pushed to the front of the line. Christians are being forced the back seat. Christians are being painted as mean nasty people. This is the way our politically correct social justice government and media are treating Christians in America. If you are not a Christian, you can’t appreciate how we feel. Christians have always accepted and tolerated other religious beliefs. We don’t ridicule, belittle, or discriminate against other religions. On the same token if you continue to smack us down, ridicule, belittle, and discriminate against us, we will push back (that’s the message of the hoax speech). News flash – we are not bunch of pacifists. So if you are offended that we are not stepping down and/or stepping aside, then the point of the message is spot on “Get Out” or the unspoken words of the speech would read – prepare for a stand…..

Actually, the sentiments expressed in this fake speech are quite good. People normally immigrate to another nation because of the freedoms and opportunities which are there. If a person of the Muslim or any other faith learns to adapt to their new home’s culture, then that is a great thing. The immigrant should embrace the new culture and be thankful to be accepted and included within that society. However, if they attempt to change the culture or force their beliefs upon people in their new home, that is wrong and they have no place in that society. Every day, nations such as Australia and the USA graciously accept a diverse group of people wishing to immigrate. If they wish to be fully accepted, immigrants should be thankful for the opportunity and be willing to adapt to the culture of the host nation, including the traditions and main language spoken there. If a nation is being attacked by a certain group or individuals within their society then that nation has a right to watch them very closely and be vigilant regarding the prevention of future attacks. To not do so would be self destructive and even suicidal.

Holte, you’ve got to do better than that. The bulk of your comment after the “hoax speech” have nothing to do with the sentiments expressed within it. If you have a problem with it, then explain in specifics what it is instead of ranting about some vague “hate groups” spreading lies. Are you suggesting that some right wing hate group wrote this speech and attributed it to the Prime Minister of Australia? Specifically, which hate group would that be? Where is your proof? Furthermore, you then attack Palin, Fox News and in general, people with religious beliefs even though they had nothing to do with the content of the article. Then in another comment you imply that Glen Beck wanted Michael Moore killed. Who is spreading hate and lies here? I think it is you Holte and people of your “ilk”. BTW, how does it feel to see that most of the readers of this article actually support the content of this so called hateful “hoax speech”?

Before you launch into a nonsensical rant directed at Holte, take the time to find out who wrote it. I’m pretty sure he stands by everything he said, every word, including all mention of the fools at Fox.

Third, if you think he’s going to write a research paper so as to answer your questions you are mistaken. This is a blog post not a journal article. You do the leg work.

Finally, that being said, I suggest you travel and remember what peace there may be in silence before I forget, thanks for your less than inspiring comments. They bored me to tears but at least they irritated me enough to say something.

So Polk – Fox is full of fools and all those who support the views of Fox are fools as well. I suppose you believe your comments to be insightful and intelligent? You are just like every other liberal who like to make statements of fact and not support them. Now you are justifying not supporting facts and suggest that others go do the research for you. I like that approach. Let me get this straight – I can make an outlandish statement, call it fact, and it’s not my responsibility to back up the statement. I could try that and be a good liberal, but I have a conscience and don’t want to be perceived as a liar and call people names.

Calling atheism, “free thinking” is like believing you are free because you chose to be a slave… Believing the universe came from nothing, by nothing for no reason, is precisely as magical as any “thinking” can get. It is the very definition of magic. If Atheists were remotely capable of free thought, they would not constantly thump their gross misinterpetations of the Bible as their excuse for hating God and thus their denial of the existence of an eternal edifice of truth. All they care about is validating their own prerogatives. There is a reason most atheists show a decidedly Luciferian bent to their reasoning…

Democracy missed a main point both in US and UK that it is established in Christian beleif as the foundation which respects all for who they are and that does not mean that they can question the foundation itslef like “In God we trust” . That is what is happening in US and UK. The muslims and ethiests are demanding that the founding principles be removed. US and UK will pay a high price for it. I hope Australia will understand it and defend its foundations. Democracy without God in it becomes empty inside. Once US thorugh out the vision of funding fathers there is no juice left in the core of US democracy. That is the begining of the end of democracy. Your hatred of FOX, Sarah Palin, and any other American group with differing political beliefs is not an excuse for the constant murdering by Islamist believers. Mad Mike, Sadly Gillard did not make this speech..originally made by previous PM John Howard and then parroted to an extent by K. Rudd. Gillard is throwing open the doors because she is beholden to the Greens (to keep her as PM) who want an open door policy for illegal refugees (predominately muslim)arriving in boats via Indonesia and currently using our Navy as a Taxi Service on the seas by phoning the ABC, journalists or the navy direct to be picked up most times while still in Indonesian waters (courtesy of Gillard and her lack of Border Protection they get picked up and taken to Christmas Island and then flown into and released into Australian population unprocessed or part processed) plus they are destroying all identification before leaving Indo so that Australian authorities have a difficult time checking thier credentials. The Greens want to send planes to Indonesia and Malaysia to fly them in (illegally). This speech was definatley not made by our current Prime Minister Gillard…she is less than useless. The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob most certainly is not Allah. They are the antithesis of each other. On the one hand, you have the true God of Israel, who requires the testimony of two or more for any truth to be held with credibility.

On the other hand, you have in Islam testimony which contradicts the truth of the one true God. And all of that testimony comes from one man.

One testimony promotes forgiveness and invites anyone to be followers. The other demands followers and calls for those in that belief system to kill those who fail to comply.

Not all monotheistic views are equal. Yahweh is most certainly not Allah. And the believers in either don’t recognize any commonality.

Muslims, don’t come into my territory and start putting together your communities with your inhumane laws, and secretly supporting “the cause” to do away with Israel. Stop strapping bombs to yourselves and blowing things up and then attempt justification thru the koran for your actions.

Christians, stop being so “high and mighty” and quoting the bible every chance you get. I could run circles around you with these stupid quotes and commandments that get twisted by you everyday!

If Christ were here today, he would bow his head in shame over the way you have learned how to twish his words into a control mechanism to run people.

Muslims, I say keep your problems in your own place. If you don’t like our ways in the Western countries, stay out.

We are de-evolving becauser of religion. Can’t we all just set religion aside and have morals toward one another without having to pull out a book?

I know when I have done someone wrong, it don’t take a book or manual to tell me, I can tell by the loon on their face if I have done them wrong…. Why can’t we all live like that and base our laws on honesty and fairness, rather than quote some pages from a storybook book to prove our point.

Hysterical. Sarah Palin and Fox News must be the devil. Nevermind NBC.CBS, and ABC are left wing propaganda for the left. They can’t even tell the truth. Wasn’t it MSNBC who put out a Romney story a couple of weeks ago that was so misrepresented that they got called on the carpet for it? This article is hysterical.

GO JULIA! I agree with that, if your going to immigrate to another country then you better accept that countries culture. When I went to dubai even though i wasnt muslim I had to fast and cover myself up on religious holidays, and yet muslims will not acccept other peoples beliefs and cultures, thats not fair. If your not in a muslim country then shut up and back off. You do what you do but dont force your ideas on other people. I hate it when others bitch about dumb shit like this and I really dont like religion. Here in Canada in one of the schools, they made an annoucnment asking students to stop sayihng merry christmas! Cany ou belive that shit! Ill say merry christmas if I damn well please!

The God of Israelites and Christians is NOT the same god as that of the Muslims. Surah 3:3 tells us that the words of Jesus are true, once again upholding the purity of the Torah (Old Testament) and the Gospel (New Testament). The Qu’ran claims that Muhammad saw God. However, Jesus, Whose words are true, said that “No one can see God and live.” Moses never saw God. He saw the back end of God’s glory. The Qu’ran also claims that Muhammad is the greatest of prophets. However, Jesus, Whose words are true, said that “Of men born to women there is not a greater prophet than John the Baptist.” Why was John the greatest prophet? Because he was the forerunner who announced the coming of the Messiah—Jesus Christ.

The Qu’ran says in surahs 2:225, 16:106, and 66:2 that lying is acceptable. The Qu’ran also states that Allah is the greatest of deceivers. However, the 9th Commandment says “Thou shall not bear false witness.” In other words, Do not lie! Scripture tells us that “God cannot lie” and that “God is not a man that He should lie.” God cannot lie because it contradicts and is contrary to His character and being, which is truth, righteousness, and holiness. Lying goes against all three of these. Scripture also tells us that “Lying lips are an abomination to God” and “All liars will have their part in the Lake of Fire.” Further, Jesus, Whose words are true, said that Satan is the Father of Lies. So if Allah is the greatest of deceivers, then Allah is clearly Satan.

Jesus said, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” There is salvation in no other name apart from Jesus Christ. Jesus also said that He was God. “I and the Father are one.” Jesus also said to them, “Before Abraham was… I Am.” The term “I Am” is the same name with which God made Himself known to Moses. If Jesus never said He was God, then why did the Jews pick up stones to stone Him to death and why did they say that He committed blasphemy by equating Himself with God?

Muslims also like to lie and attempt to tell people that they worship the same God as Christians, but simply call Him a different name. Is this true? My God tells me to “Love your enemies and do good to them.” The Muslims’ god tells them to murder everybody—Jews, Christians, and pagans: smite the unbeliever (surah 47:4); fight the people of the book—Christians (surah 9:29); fight and slay pagans (surah 9:5); don’t be friends with Jews and Christians (surah 5:51); kill any man who leaves Islam (surah 4:89—so much for freedom of religion: “If anyone desires a religion other than Islam, never will it be accepted of him!” [surah 3:85]). Those are just a handful of the many verses that command them to do such things—and that’s not even looking at the Haddith. The ironic thing is, there are mosques around here that send out “tracts” claiming that Islam is a religion of peace and that they are for freedom of religion. We have just seen from their own book that this is a bold faced lie in light of the truth about their religion.

According to Jesus and His words of truth, Muhammad is a false prophet and Allah is a demon god. The character of Allah is everything that the character of God is not. God is truth. Allah is lies. God is merciful. Allah is murderous. God is loving. Allah is hateful. Further, Muhammad exhibited a character that is contradictory not only to the teachings of Jesus but also to a life transformed by God. Muhammad was a liar, a thief, and a murderer, raiding caravans regularly. He was an adulterer and a pedophile, having married numerous wives and consummating his marriage to his youngest wife when she was 9 years old!

Jesus, Whose words are true, said that He is “the Way, the Truth, and the Life” and that “No one comes to the Father” except through Him. There is only one way to salvation, and if Jesus is it, then regardless of how one feels about it or what one believes, all other religions are false and lead straight to hell and eternal damnation. If Jesus is the Truth, then all other religions are false. If Jesus is the Life, then all other religions lead to death. If Jesus is the Way, then all other religions are the wrong way. It does not matter how earnestly you believe in your religion. Truth is truth regardless of what you believe or perceive. All religions except for genuine Christianity are works-based religions—man trying to reach up to God; but genuine Christianity is grace-based—God reaching down to man. There is nothing you can do to merit or earn forgiveness and salvation. It is a free gift offered through Jesus Christ. Reject that gift and you can work until you are blue in the face and you will never earn your place in heaven. You will only increase the wrath stored up for you until the day of judgment. If you do not have Jesus Christ, Who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, then your religion and what you believe are damning lies. When Jesus returns, He will judge the world in truth and in righteousness and all those who have rejected the truth in favour of the lies will be cast into eternal damnation. Is your eternity worth that risk?

Furthermore, there is no such thing as an “extremist” Muslim. There are only good Muslims and bad Muslims. Muslims who do not participate in bombings in your own country are doing so for one of two reasons: (1) they are either liars and are waiting for the opportune moment to do so, which is often the case, or (2) they are unfaithful Muslims who do not follow their religion. Anyone who has actually read the Qu’ran and the Haddith KNOWS what the Muslim is commanded to do. They are commanded to KILL Jews, Christians, and Pagans (everyone else non-Muslim). Muslims to do not do this, have no hidden agendas to do this later (point 1), and do not believe in doing this are NOT good, faithful Muslims. The so-called “extremist” Muslims are obeying what they are commanded to do. Murdering innocent people is what EVERY Muslim is commanded to do. Those who are not doing it are not good Muslims. There is NO such thing as an “extremist” Muslim. Muslims will lie through their teeth to non-Muslims about their agendas. However, if you speak to them in their own language, the truth will soon come out.

Our DNA soundly discredits the theory of evolution. Like RACECAR, which can be read forwards and backwards, our DNA reads forwards and backwards with messages, like this: WAS IT A RAT I SAW. The message forwards could be DESSERTS, but the message backwards would be STRESSED. If you change even ONE part of that message for the better, it affects the reverse message for the worse. Now, the messages in our DNA overlap each other like this: I LIKE CHOCOLATER THAT EVENING. Here, you have two statements overlapping: “I LIKE CHOCOLATE” and “LATER THAT EVENING”. However, with our DNA, entire CHAPTERS overlap each other! Again, if you change even ONE iota of that message for the better, there is a domino effect of changes for the WORSE! 99.99% of ALL mutations are LETHAL!!! .01% of a change for the better STILL results in numerous other changes for the WORSE! Evolutionary “scientists” are NOT doing the work of a scientist. They are merely theorizing, postulating, and assuming, calling that “science” even though it lacks 100% evidence to back it up.

To backup a spoonful of your DNA, you would need 1,000,000 CDs given to you EVERY minute for 9 1/2 years (5 trillion CDs)!!!

Michael John Scott is an unintelligent, ignorant fool who lacks a sane and reasoning mind. He believes in fairy tales, thinking them to be reality. Evolution is nothing more than a fairy tale and has been soundly discredited time and time again. People believe it simply because the alternative is unthinkable in their minds. They don’t like having to be held accountable to someone else. In a children’s fairy tale, you kiss the frog and it turns into a man. In a grownup’s fairy tale, you replace the element “kiss” with “time” and the frog turns into a man. 99.99% of all mutations are lethal! If you allowed even for a single mutation to occur every second, it would take TRILLIONS of years to even come close to humanity. Evolution is a religion, NOT sound science. Science is build on empirical evidence, of which evolution has NONE! Those with sane and reasoning minds believe in creationism because the historical, archeological, and scientific evidence backs it up. If you’re man enough to actually look into the information, rather than regurgitating the same old false lies that have been discredited time and time again, you’ll see what the truth is. But even in the face of the facts, you will still reject them because you don’t want to believe the truth.

Any time Michael John Scott thinks he’s man enough or intelligent enough to step into the ring and debate me on the issue of evolution, or anyone else, I will gladly knock you out in the first round. Quit blindly following and believing in poison and try paying attention to REAL science. MJS was correct in stating “Those of us with sane and reasoning minds understand poison for what it is,” but sadly he is not one of those people. Christians are. Evolutionists have swallowed that poison and continue to nurse off it like a suckling babe.

I would say I agree with the speech to some extent. I understand that most Muslims are just people that have been brutally stereotyped by idiots who think that when a few people do it, it applies to the whole group. I am very glad that Pres. Obama is reaching out to the Muslim world and I understand that most Muslims just want to assimilate into their new country and culture. However the western world needs to make something clear: some things are non-negotiable. Like our culture, you can integrate into it, it’s a melting pot, but we will not change it to accommodate for a religious minority. Separation of church and state, this applies to EVERYONE and not just Muslims (yes Christians, I’m looking at you), we’ve lost enough IQ points to idiot Christian wackos who want to have prayer in public schools, I can assure you we do NOT need to lose more, this is non-negotiable. Freedom of speech is also non-negotiable. Women’s rights, non-negotiable, they are allowed to work here and you can’t beat them. This is how we roll. However if you still don’t like it here and if you still want to change our culture simply because it doesn’t sit well with you, please just get the f–k out of here. I don’t condone hate towards Muslims, but at the same time we need to protect our culture.

The left brand you racist for even wanting to bring the issue up, many pray for a speech to be delivered like this one from a politicians mouth. I long for someone to say out loud if you don’t like our culture leave. In the UK people don’t want an ever expanding Islam, we have mosques popping up every where. Credit were credit is due Aussies have the balls for the job. The problem in Europe is we aren’t having enough children so these people are constantly brought in and breed at twice the rate, we will effectively be replaced in a few generations and then we will be buggered. I will be leaving university soon and would happily consider living in Oz if the Aussies will have me, they seem far more British than the British these days. I can not tolerate what people have done to the country I was brought up to love. During the last armistice to remember those that died in WW1 and WW2 extremist muslims burnt poppies and my 93 year old grandmother burst into tears watching the barbaric display. I simply can not tolerate how we are selling our culture out to accommodate these people. If they hate us so much why not move back to the crap holes they came from? one word: Benefits. An education system, healthcare and general society that works. These people want to destroy them and we can not let them!

That speech can NOT be attributed to Gillard. The Political party she leads supported by The Greens are far left wing Islamic sympathisers. They Have just set up off shore processing but are only sending Sri Lankans to Nauru and Manus Island and allowing the Middle Eastern muslim illegal boat arrivers to be processed in Australia. Afghani men arriving in Australia while our soldiers are over there rebuilding and protecting thier country and family left behind (and killing our soldiers acting as friendlies and shooting them when thier back is turned). These men leave behind in Afghanistan thier wife and female children to fend for themselves while they jump on flights to Indonesia and then pay tens of thousands of dollars to jump on boats to Oz discarding all identification before arriving in Australia. Australia (Sydney), like many other countries of late have had a birds eye view of the hate and violence of extremist muslims in the streets of our cities. The signs carried were highly offensive and enciteful. Things like “Our dead are in Heaven your dead are in Hell”, “Behead those who do not believe in the prophet” and “Sharia Law will prevail” to name a few. It is time for all governments to cut refugee intake from these countries until we can be assured that they are prepared to live in our countries and respect the laws, people and way of life of those countries.

In a world where leftwing liberals are forever telling us how we should think and who we should accept and how we should celebrate ‘diversity’ it makes an honest, welcome change to hear a script – whether actually said or not – reflecting views that many people would like to express. Live in the UK and see how immigrants are forever making demands on how the country should adapt for their benefit. It’s sickening. Swathes of the country populated only by immigrants making no effort to integrate. One day, socialists and liberals should be made to live in the society they create. Then we would see an entirely different attitude to immigration and what we should accept.

Brian Comstock, how do you know that Allah is not the same God of Christians and Jews? Have you read the Koran? The Koran which is what the Muslims believe, talks repeatedly about Abraham and about Judaism and Christianity. About all the Jewish prophets (Moses, Aaron,Jacob, Joseph, etc) and about the Christian prophet. One of the most beautiful chapters is about Mary. Did you know that ‘Mecca’ was built by Abraham and his son Ishmael. Ishmael is the father of the Arabs /Muslims. His younger half brother Issac is the father of the Jews. The Prophet Mohammed is a decendant of Ishmael and Abraham. To be a Muslim you have to believe in Judaism and its prophets and you have to believe in Christianity and in Jesus. The Koran is written in very beautiful classical poetical Arabic. The groups that terrorise or spread hate are ignorant, misguided and stupid enough to believe leaders that have political agendas. They do not represent the millions of Muslims who follow their book which spreads the same commandments as the Bible. When you see Muslims with long beards and funny clothes, this is more representative of culture (usually Pakistan/India). None of the muslims I know dress like that. And none of the muslims I know want to spread Sharia Law in the West. Also Sharia Law is not about cutting hands and legs as much as the old Jewish laws of eye for an eye, but I am not going to get into that here. As far as cutting heads in Saudi, this is not representative of the Koran either, if the Saudi muslim people had it their way they would not have that oppresive government. Probably not everybody in the US also believes in the death penalty either. If you want to see a Muslim country not so influenced by culture rather than religion , then look at Turkey. Also most of the Muslim immigrants you see in Europe are poor , this also says something about the way they look, dress ,how educated they are. You are welcome to make freinds with educated Muslims to have a better understanding and less fear. And just a note that terrorists are mad men, weather they are white or brown , religious or non religious. The shootings in the cinema or the school in the US was also terrorism. May i note also that white/christian Australians are not the original people of Australia,so take it easy on the newer immigrants. Same must be said about the US and Canada, apart from the Native Americans , everyone is an immigrant. I wish there would be less fear, and more interest in each other. Peace to all, weather you believe or not.

Leave religion out of it for a moment – if anyone from a foreign country wants to come & live in England, which they are entitled to do & I wouldn’t have blamed them 20 years ago, because then it was a great place to live then, shouldn’t they at least speak the English language?
If I went to live anywhere, whether it be Europe or farther afield, the very least I would do is try & integrate. I live in a middle sized town in the Midlands & I am horrified by the changes I have seen in the past 20 years. There are whole areas of this place that are no go areas for indigenous people because immigrants have developed “settlements” and are totally unwilling to integrate with the rest of us – & before you call me a racist I have a filipino family living next door to me on one side & an Indian family on the other side & all our families get on really well. However, I get a real sense of unease about the “hardcore” immigrants that don’t want to integrate. I have no problems with their cultures or religious beliefs as long as they don’t try to force them on everyone else. I am Catholic but don’t try & convert people I meet or tell them they are wrong for believing something different & I wouldn’t try to change their way of thinking, just as i wouldn’t want anyone to try & change mine. Live and let live please but remember THIS IS A CHRISTIAN COUNTRY and hopefully always will be, if you don’t like it, find a country that supports your beliefs

This is a beautiful speech, regardless of whether it is authentic or not. It’s a shame that people pussy foot around the problem. Every country should have the right to do what they need to in order to protect and preserve their own culture. For example, Muslim nations sure as heck would not take kindly to any outside influences coming into their lands and uprooting their beliefs. It’s already too late for countries like the US and UK. The UK is already a step away from granting Sharia law in parts of the country. Some London neighborhoods are controlled by gangs of derelict, violent muslims whom go out of their way to harass and persecute local citizens who are now being driven out of the neighborhoods they grew up in. Often violently. Hopefully AU can hold onto their identity and not cave in to accommodating foreign rules into their lifestyles. If people cannot respect and adapt to a nations way of life then they should stay in their own country where they are happy.

Mohammed acknowledges Jesus but Jesus does not acknowledge Mohammed. The comforter is the Holy Spirit. The God of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and Moses is not the same god of Hindus, Muslims, Buddhists, etc.

Science and religion are two different things. Any scientist accepting Muslim are not true scientists. Just like Christianity, Islam is based on a book, not facts. Hard to believe what you are saying, unless your scientist is not a real scientist.

Actually, The God of Abraham, Isacc, Jacob and Moses is the same God of Israel and Muslims. Not sure about the Buddhist and Hindus though.

    Rahbil,

You clearly have no idea what you’re talking about, so you might want to shut your mouth before looking like a complete and ignorant fool. Oops! Too late. History, archeology, and science CONFIRM the Bible. Science and religion are not two different things. Science and true religion go hand-in-hand.

Skeptics constantly claim that the Bible is unreliable and that it is only a book of mythological stories written by men. If this is true, and if ancient man was as stupid in comparison to us today as we are led to believe, were these men just guessing when they wrote things that have been proven to be scientifically accurate? This article is aimed at showing the reliability and trustworthiness of the Bible. The Bible is the only book that stakes is credibility on its ability to predict the future in advance—without any error.

Prior to the Dark Ages, when the Roman Catholic Church hid the Word of God from the people and darkened man’s knowledge, mankind was likely a lot more knowledgeable and intelligent than we currently are today. Being technological does not imply knowledge or intelligence. Early civilizations did and made certain things (like batteries and aqueducts) long before we ever did, and they did things that we today cannot even figure out (the building of pyramids and temples). This period is called the Dark Ages because the Roman Catholic Church suppressed not only the Word of God, but also knowledge in general. If it did not come from the Catholic Church or have her approval, it was not allowed.

It is interesting to note how many of the great scientists of history were “Bible-believing” Christians. Most areas of mathematics and science were founded by men who believed what their Bibles said. For example: when the Bible spoke of the ocean containing mountains and valleys, Matthew Maury believed it and founded oceanography. Here is just a small sampling of the many areas of mathematics and science that were founded by Christians.

During the Dark Ages (between 1200 and 1400 A.D.), the Black Death, or Bubonic Plague, killed over one third of Europe (or 60 million of its 200 million inhabitants). History informs us that Roman Catholic monks from Vienna stopped the plague’s advance on the mainland continent by desperately searching the Bible for answers on how to stop a plague of this magnitude. These passages (among others) are what they came across:

“He too, who eats some of its carcass shall wash his clothes and be unclean until evening; and the one who picks up its carcass shall wash his clothes and be unclean until evening.” Leviticus 11:40

“Then the priest shall look at him; and if the swelling of the infection is reddish-white on his bald head or on his bald forehead, like the appearance of leprosy in the skin of the body, he is a leprous man, he is unclean. The priest shall surely pronounce him unclean; his infection is on his head. As for the leper who has the infection, his clothes shall be torn, and the hair of his head shall be uncovered, and he shall cover his mustache and cry, ‘Unclean! Unclean!’ He shall remain unclean all the days during which he has the infection; he is unclean. He shall live alone; his dwelling shall be outside the camp.” Leviticus 13:43-46

“This is the law when a man dies in a tent: everyone who comes into the tent and everyone who is in the tent shall be unclean for seven days. And every open vessel, which has no covering tied down on it, shall be unclean. Also, anyone who in the open field touches one who has been slain with a sword or who has died naturally, or a human bone or a grave, shall be unclean for seven days.” Number 19:14-16

Consequently, these monks instituted the first quarantine system, which formed the basis for what eventually evolved into our modern hospital system. Leviticus 15:13 identifies the importance of bathing in order to prevent disease (and for ceremonial cleanness), and bathing in running water in particular. The importance of proper sanitation is expressed elsewhere in Scripture as well:

“You shall also have a place outside the camp and go out there, and you shall have a spade among your tools, and it shall be when you sit down outside, you shall dig with it and shall turn to cover up your excrement.” Deuteronomy 23:12-13

Over 150 years ago, French chemist Louis Pasteur discovered the existence of germs. Prior to this, the knowledge of germs was practically non-existent.

“Remember Ignaz Semmelweis? Of course you don’t. But you’re in his debt nonetheless, because it was Dr. Semmelweis who first demonstrated over a hundred years ago that routine handwashing can prevent the spread of disease. (It was another 50 years before the importance of handwashing was widely accepted!)
“Dr. Semmelweis worked in a hospital in Vienna whose maternity patients were dying at such an alarming rate they begged to be sent home,” said Julie Gerberding, M.D., director of The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) Hospital Infections Program. “Most of those dying had been treated by student physicians who worked on cadavers during an anatomy class before beginning their rounds in the maternity ward.”
Because handwashing was an unrecognized practice at the time, the students didn’t wash their hands between touching the dead and the living. The pathogenic bacteria from the cadavers regularly were transmitted to the mothers via the students’ hands.
“The result was a death rate five times higher for mothers who delivered in the hospital than for mothers who delivered at home” said Dr. Gerberding.
In an experiment considered interesting at best by his colleagues, Dr. Semmelweis insisted his students wash their hands before treating the mothers. Deaths on the maternity ward fell fivefold.
“This was the beginning of infection control,” Dr. Gerberding said. “It was really a landmark achievement, not just in healthcare settings, but in public health in general because today the value of handwashing in preventing disease is recognized in the community, in schools, in child care settings, and in eating establishments”

Up until the early 1800’s science believed that blood-letting was the best way to treat many diseases. It was believed that blood could stagnate within the body (and not circulate, as we know it does today), and therefore blood had to be drained from the body. This concept was part of the “humoral system” of medicine. Much of the ancient world, including Islamic nations, ancient Greece, and other regions of the world, held this approach to medicine. Historians believe that blood-letting (through the use of leeches) is what ultimately took George Washington’s life in 1799, as his attending physician drained as much as 4 lbs. of blood from his body. In other words, his doctors bled him to death because they did not understand how critical blood is to our body and its health. Yet, they were without excuse because William Harvey (the personal physician of both King James I and King Charles I) discovered the blood circulatory system and its essential nature to the life in our bodies in 1616 A.D. This biblical passage was written 3400 years ago!

“For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you on the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood by reason of the life that makes atonement.” Leviticus 11:17

In the mid-1800’s, science began understanding the place that anesthesia could have on performing surgery while a patient was “under”. The man most attributed for having discovered the amazing uses of anesthetic gases was a dentist named William Morton. Many consider him to be the father of modern surgery and medicine. William Morton said his inspiration came from this verse:

“So the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man, and he slept; then He took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh at that place.” Genesis 2:21

Medical scientists have been examining the biological processes that lead to blood clotting. The medical researches found that two different blood clotting factors—Vitamin K and Prothrombin—are at the highest levels of your life (110% of normal) on the eighth day of life. The Bible informed us how this should be done thousands of years before science discovered the reason why.

“And every male among you who is eight days old shall be circumcised throughout your generations, a servant who is born in the house or who is bought with money from any foreigner, who is not of your descendants.” Genesis 17:12

Much of world history held to the notion that the world was flat. The earliest extra-biblical reference to the world’s spherical shape is generally considered to have come from a Greek mathematician named Pythagoras, about 500 B.C. This was not scientifically proved until 230 B.C. by another Greek mathematician named Erotosthenes. It was not until “in 1492, Columbus sailed the ocean blue” that all questions of the world being flat were forever answered (even though some groups of fools still try and argue that the world is flat). What did the Bible have to say about the shape of the Earth hundreds of years before these mathematicians were even born?

“It is He who sits above the [circle] of the earth, And its inhabitants are like grasshoppers, Who stretches out the heavens like a curtain And spreads them out like a tent to dwell in.” Isaiah 40:22
The word translated “circle” here is the Hebrew word chuwg (תוג), which, literally translated, means “sphere” or “ball”. It is used in ancient Hebrew literature to describe the ball that a child plays with.

Science has recently concluded that space is racing (expanding) in every direction at a speed of approximately 216,000 km/hr (or about 134 miles/hr). This has been verified through experiments performed by the Hubble Telescope and the Chandra X-Ray Observatory. This rate of expansion of the universe is referred to as the “Hubble Constant”. Isaiah speaks of God’s stretching forth the heavens in the verse above and also in chapter 42 and verse 5. It is interesting to note that a number of verses speak with regard to God stretching forth the heavens (expansion of the universe), and they do so in the present tense, which is precisely what we witness today. The universe continues to expand! The author of the following Psalm wrote over 1000 years B.C.:

“Bless the LORD, O my soul! O LORD my God, Thou art very great; Thou art clothed with splendor and majesty, Covering Thyself with light as with a cloak, Stretching out heaven like a tent curtain.” Psalm 104:1-2

“Throughout the centuries philosophers, theologians and scientists have speculated about the resting place of planet earth. Upon what or whom the earth is resting became an important part of mythology in many ancient cultures. To the ancient Greeks the candidates were Atlas or Hercules. The Hindus believed that elephants or turtles were the pillars upon which the earth rested.
The fact of a free floating earth was apparently foreign to most ancient cultures. In a world where all objects fall rapidly to their destruction, such a suggestion must have been terrifying. However, in the book of Job, commonly believed to be the oldest book in the Bible, we find an astonishing piece of scientific foreknowledge. While speaking of the incredible power of God, Job states of the earth.”
“He stretches out the north over empty space, And hangs the earth on nothing. He wraps up the waters in His clouds; And the cloud does not burst under them. He obscures the face of the full moon, And spreads His cloud over it. He has inscribed a circle on the surface of the waters, At the boundary of light and darkness.” Job 26:7-10

For decades, skeptics used to point to the verses below and say that the sun does not travel on a circular path—only the planets do this.

“The heavens are telling of the glory of God; And their expanse is declaring the work of His hands. Day to day pours forth speech, And night to night reveals knowledge. There is no speech, nor are there words; Their voice is not heard. Their line has gone out through all the earth, And their utterances to the end of the world. In them He has placed a tent for the sun, Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber; It rejoices as a strong man to run his course. Its rising is from one end of the heavens, And its circuit to the other end of them; And there is nothing hidden from its heat.” Psalm 19:1-6

“We now know that the sun moves in a ‘circuit’ or circular course, at speeds approaching 600,000 miles per hour, within one of the spiral arms of the Milky Way Galaxy. In turn, the Milky Way is hurtling through space at an estimated 2,000,000 miles per hour!”

In this century alone, we have recently discovered that the stars of Pleiades are gravitationally bound. They used to be called the “Seven Sisters” by constellation buffs. We have also only recently learned that the stars of Orion are not gravitationally bound. Imagine, 4,000 years ago the book of Job had these words to say:

“Can you bind the chains of the Pleiades, Or loose the cords of Orion? Can you lead forth a constellation in its season, And guide the Bear with her satellites?” Job 38:31-32

Matthew Fontaine Maury is considered the father of modern oceanography. He had joined the US Navy in 1820 and had navigated around the world from 1832 to 1836. In 1855, he published what is considered to be the first textbook on modern oceanography, The Physical Geography of the Sea and Its Meteorology. While certainly not the first to identify the oceanic currents, his work became the definitive work on the subject. On his tombstone, a Scripture text was written, which he had said was the inspiration for his work. He had believed that the Bible had accurately identified the existence of the oceanic currents thousands of years before science had verified their existence. That Scripture text was:

“What is man, that Thou dost take thought of him? And the son of man, that Thou dost care for him? Yet Thou hast made him a little lower than God, And dost crown him with glory and majesty! Thou dost make him to rule over the works of Thy hands; Thou hast put all things under his feet, All sheep and oxen, And also the beasts of the field, The birds of the heavens, and the fish of the sea, Whatever passes through the paths of the seas. O LORD, our Lord, How majestic is Thy name in all the earth!” Psalm 8:4-9

Science used to believe that the oceans were fed only by rivers and streams. However, in the 18th century, Matthew Maury demonstrated the existence of oceanic springs. The verse that led him to this discovery?

“Have you entered into the springs of the sea? Or have you walked in the recesses of the deep?” Job 38:16

Science also used to believe that the ocean floor was flat. But Matthew Maury believed his Bible when, in Jonah, it testified to the existence of mountains in the deep. If Jonah is merely a “fish story”, how could this man testify to the mountains of the deep when science itself was completely ignorant to the fact?

“Water encompassed me to the point of death. The great deep engulfed me, Weeds were wrapped around my head. I descended to the roots of the mountains. The earth with its bars was around me forever, But Thou hast brought up my life from the pit, O LORD my God.” Jonah 2:5-6

Your local weather man is the brunt of many jokes. It is difficult to predict anything in the future, let alone the weather. Yet, in order to give the five-day forecast, a lot of difficult science is required. Even with all of that, the weather man’s predictions are not always accurate. This becomes increasingly more difficult to predict the farther you go beyond the following week because of the numerous variables involved. While the Bible does not predict the upcoming weather, it is interesting to note that it understood and accurately portrayed the weather cycle 2,700 years ahead of the scientific community.

The existence of the jet stream has really only been known and understood since World War II, during bombing runs over both Germany and Japan. To give you a sense of these high atmospheric winds, a flight from New York to Tokyo will typically take 14+ hours in a Boeing 747. The return trip will typically take little more than 11 hours. That is 14 hours going east to west vs. 11 hours going west to east.

“Blowing toward the south, Then turning toward the north, The wind continues swirling along; And on its circular courses the wind returns.” Ecclesiastes 1:6

The concept of evaporation was not discovered until the 1700’s, when Pierre Perrault and Edme Marriote demonstrated that oceanic evaporation was the source of rain clouds and river waters.

”All the rivers flow into the sea, Yet the sea is not full. To the place where the rivers flow, There they flow again.” Ecclesiastes 1:7

The above verses were written by Solomon nearly 1000 years B.C. How remarkable is that? 3,000 years ago the Bible revealed what modern science only discovered 300 years ago.

Modern science has understood air to have mass for a relatively short period of time in history. In 1643, an Italian physicist named Toricelli made the first barometer and proved the existence of atmospheric pressure. However, the Bible spoke of air having weight nearly 4,000 years earlier in the book of Job:

“For He looks to the ends of the earth, And sees everything under the heavens. When He imparted weight to the wind, And meted out the waters by measure.” Job 28:24-25

With the below verse, some scientists say that it evidences an understanding that light has properties whereas darkness is merely the absence of light. Light has a “way”, as it were, in that it travels at 186,000 miles per second.

“Where is the way to the dwelling of light? And darkness, where is its place?” Job 38:19

“Can you send forth lightnings that they may go And say to you, ‘Here we are’?” Job 38:35

With the above verse, it is said that the Bible is saying what scientists thought was a ludicrous statement: light can be sent and then manifest itself in speech. Did you know that radio waves move at the speed of light? This is why you can have instantaneous wireless communication with someone on the other side of the Earth. Science did not discover this until 1864 when “the British scientist James Clerk Maxwell suggested that electricity and light waves were two forms of the same thing.” (Modern Century Illustrated Encyclopedia, Vol. 12) Of course, today, communications do travel at light speed, and make use of energy to do so.

The book of Job is considered to be the oldest book of the Bible. 4,000 years ago, it recorded these words:

“Behold now, Behemoth, which I made as well as you; He eats grass like an ox. Behold now, his strength in his loins, And his power in the muscles of his belly. He bends his tail like a cedar; The sinews of his thighs are knit together. His bones are tubes of bronze; His limbs are like bars of iron. He is the first of the ways of God; Let his maker bring near his sword. Surely the mountains bring him food, And all the beasts of the field play there. Under the lotus plants he lies down, In the covert of the reeds and the marsh. The lotus plants cover him with shade; The willows of the brook surround him. If a river rages, he is not alarmed; He is confident, though the Jordan rushes to his mouth. Can anyone capture him when he is on watch, With barbs can anyone pierce his nose?” Job 40:15-24

“Can you draw out Leviathan with a fishhook? Or press down his tongue with a cord? Can you put a rope in his nose? Or pierce his jaw with a hook? I will not keep silence concerning his limbs, Or his mighty strength, or his orderly frame. … Who can strip off his outer armor? Who can come within his double mail? Who can open the doors of his face? Around his teeth there is terror. His strong scales are his pride, Shut up as with a tight seal. One is so near to another, That no air can come between them. They are joined one to another; They clasp each other and cannot be separated. His sneezes flash forth light, And his eyes are like the eyelids of the morning. Out of his mouth go burning torches; Sparks of fire leap forth. Out of his nostrils smoke goes forth, As from a boiling pot and burning rushes. His breath kindles coals, And a flame goes forth from his mouth. In his neck lodges strength, And dismay leaps before him. The folds of his flesh are joined together, Firm on him and immovable. His heart is as hard as a stone; Even as hard as a lower millstone. When he raises himself up, the mighty fear; Because of the crashing they are bewildered. The sword that reaches him cannot avail; Nor the spear, the dart, or the javelin. He regards iron as straw, Bronze as rotten wood. The arrow cannot make him flee; Slingstones are turned into stubble for him. Clubs are regarded as stubble; He laughs at the rattling of the javelin. His underparts are like sharp potsherds; He spreads out like a threshing sledge on the mire. He makes the depths boil like a pot; He makes the sea like a jar of ointment. Behind him he makes a wake to shine; One would think the deep to be gray-haired. Nothing on earth is like him, One made without fear. He looks on everything that is high; He is king over all the sons of pride.” Job 41:1-2, 12-34

As you read those descriptions of Behemoth and Leviathan, remember that modern science claims that we have only known of the existence of dinosaurs for a couple centuries. These descriptions not only reveal that the Bible was aware of “dinosaurs”, but also that they co-existed with humanity. Evolution claims that dinosaurs were long extinct (65 million years ago) by the time man, and most mammals, came on the scene. Prior to the 1800’s, when the word “dinosaur” was invented, men had another name for these fierce creatures: dragons. If dinosaurs and man did not live together, how could God possibly tell Job to “Behold now, Behemoth”, meaning “Look at him!”?

In the bed of the Paluxy River, near Glen Rose, Texas, two sets of strange tracks have been found. Though highly contested as to their nature, it appears as if human footprints cross those of a dinosaurs. The human tracks are found in the same bedding as those of the dinosaur. You might ask, “How could tracks last so long?” This is what is called “ephemeral markings”, where normally temporary markings in sand, such as bird tracks or water ripples, are actually found in rock. Such markings can only occur when the sand is rapidly converted to sedimentary rock as it is subjected to incredibly high pressure as brought about by tremendous amounts of water. This must occur over a very short duration of time; mere moments. These tracks argue that humans and dinosaurs co-existed at one point in time.

Nearly 80% of the Earth’s surface rock is sedimentary, a great argument for a global deluge of catastrophic proportions at some point in the past—Noah’s flood.

Every now and then, a colossal discovery occurs that creates vast problems for the evolutionists. This is precisely the case with a bunch of figurines that were discovered in Acambaro, Mexico in 1945. These figurines have been dated back to circa 2500 B.C. There were some 33,000 sculptures unearthed, hundreds of which appear to be dinosaurs.

In 1950, paleontologists stuck a skull on a skeletal structure that was found some 400 miles away and called it Brontosaurus. In 1978, after a complete skeleton (including the skull) was found in Nebraska, scientists realized that they had placed the wrong head on this dinosaur. Consequently, they had to admit that there never was such a creature as Brontosaurus and have since replaced it with Apatosaurus. What is truly astounding is that the Acambaro Tribe got the dimensions correct thousands of years before we did in 1978.

    Look at these two figurines:
    http://www.bible.ca/tracks/tracks-acambaro-iguanodon.jpg
    http://www.bible.ca/tracks/track-acambaro-ankylosarus.jpg
The first is Iguanodon, the second Ankylosaurus. In the 1800’s, Iguanodon was poorly rendered. If you look at modern renderings, you will notice how much they reflect the accuracy found in this figurine. Obviously these people knew how and Iguanodon looked in real life. This argues that those who made these figurines were eye-witnesses to the actual creature!

What is the best explanation for hundreds of life-like depictions of these dinosaurs (supposedly long extinct and not discovered unto the 1800’s)? These people, who lived 2500 years ago, saw them!

The Nasca Indians lived in the river valley of Peru’s south coast from roughly 200 B.C. to 600 A.D. They are most likely best known for the famous Nasca Plain, an area measuring 37 miles long and 1 mile wide. Here, strange geometric patterns of immense size have been cut into the plain. Extremely telling, however, is that much of Nasca Tomb art seems to be depicting dinosaurs. Whether tapestry or pottery, art can be found depicting dinosaurs such as Allosaurus, Dipodocus, Pterosaurs, Stegosaurus, Triceratops, and even Tyrannosaurus. Check out the images here: http://www.bible.ca/tracks/peru-tomb-art.htm

What is even more fascinating is that Sauropod frills, such as seen on the Dipodocus in the above image (middle), were not found until 1992. Yet, they were being drawn correctly 2,000 years earlier by the Nasca Indians! This argues strongly that those who made these pieces of art were eye-witnesses to the dinosaurs, contrary to what Evolutionists tell us.

Also, Native American art found in the American southwest seems to depict dinosaurs in cave art and rock drawings.

Please note WHO is “doing” science. It clearly is NOT the evolutionist! So, Rahbil, you are correct in stating “Hard to believe what you are saying, unless your scientist is a not a real scientist.” Clearly, your “scientists” are NO scientists at all, yet you blindly and ignorantly follow their philosophical and religious words even though there is NO scientific evidence to back them up whatsoever.

Are you a Muslim? Only Muslims and idiots believe that Allah is the same as the God of Christians and Jews. It is simply ridiculous. There is only one God, regardless of what you call that God, but Allah is more like the devil. Islam only tries to steal validation from Judiaism and Christianity. It is a religion of evil fundamentally. All one has to do is research a bit with an open and honest mind and it is obvious. There is no relationship between Islam and the true Abrahamic faiths, except what is fictionalized by Muslims. Evil always has to borrow validation, it never has any of it’s own.

Here is where wisdom must prevail over ignorance. Any person who had done even a tacit study of Talmudic Judaism and Islam’s Qur’an will discover a CHASM of difference in the attitude towards the Prophets – Mary Mother of God and Christ Himself. This why I call Islam and Christianity – 2 religions – one god – and Judaism a gutter religion of the most vile filth evil – blasphemy imaginable.

For example – while the Qur’an speaks of the Mother of God in the most reverent of aspects – the Talmud defines her as a WHORE! While the Qur’an speaks of our Lord with highest respect and reverence as a prophet – the Jew Talmud calls our Lord a “BASTARD SON”. I invite you to read these passages for yourself. As a matter of fact – I present them in context direct from the sources as follows:

This is how the Islamics – Arabs – Moslems look upon Mary- the Mother of God

“Behold, the angels said; ‘O Mary, Allah hath chosen thee and purified thee and has chosen thee above the women of all nations. O Mary, Allah giveth thee glad tidings of a word from him. His name will be Jesus, the son of Mary, held in honor in this world and in the hereafter, and of those nearest to Allah. ” –The Qur’an, Islam’s most holy book, Surah 3, Al Imran

AND – This is how the JEW (the ‘chosen ones’ – our ‘good ‘friends and allies’) looks upon our Lord Jesus and His blessed mother.

“Jesus is a bastard son who perished in a pit of boiling excrement and His mother was a street whore”

    Jewish Talmud

    Brian Comstock,

If don’t know about Islam then please readthe history of islam and read the holy book Al Quran… Then think you are saying right or wrong…..

There has not God other then Allah.

God is one and that is Allah……….

    Allah o Akbar.
