President Obama’s New Year’s Resolutions

Read Time:59 Second

Barack Obama is not deterred by the weeping John Boehner and his party of Born-Again Bible Bangers.  He is also not discouraged by their threats to repeal all of the good work done in the last two years.

On the contrary he has made some New Year’s resolutions: Grow the economy, create jobs, and strengthen the middle class, though he warned today that the economic recovery is still fragile as the calendar turns to 2011. In his weekly radio and Internet address, taped from Hawaii, the president also said that Democrats and Republicans must work together in the new year and share responsibility for moving the country forward.

He added that lawmakers must return to Washington next week prepared to make serious decisions about how to grow the economy in the short run and stay competitive in the future. “I’m willing to work with anyone of either party who’s got a good idea and the commitment to see it through,” Obama said. “And we should all expect you to hold us accountable for our progress or our failure to deliver.”

Good luck Mr. President.  You’re going to need it with those nutty Republicans running the House.
