Sadly collateral damage is not just a term that is applied to innocents in war. Even in the animal world death is just around the corner at the hands of men. In this case authorities are trying to convince us that roosters exploited by dirt bags had to be killed because they were “aggressive.” Here is the full story from VCS:
About 1,000 roosters were euthanized after investigators broke up a large cockfighting ring that led to 16 arrests.
Ventura County sheriff’s deputies said they received an anonymous call Saturday about a cockfight taking place at 3705 Dufau Road, an unincorporated area near Oxnard.
Deputies said that when they arrived, they saw 16 men on the north end of the property watching a cockfight.
Deputies found about 1,000 roosters along with cockfighting paraphernalia. The roosters had to be euthanized because of their aggressive nature, authorities said.
Deputies said they arrested Michael Lim, 43, of Panorama City, and Luis Manzano, 29, of Oxnard in connection with animal cruelty, a felony. The 14 other males were arrested in connection with being spectators of a cockfight, a misdemeanor.

It is part of the Hispanic culture Dusty, as dog fighting is part of the “black culture.” In South Georgia it seems that these poor pit bulls are tied up short chained to every tree. It is heartbreaking.
