I have never been sorry that I was raised as a Christian as it gave me insight into the silliness of it all, but then again the “Christian” part may not be accurate as I was raised a Catholic. Does that make me a “Christian?” I know the “Christians” in South Georgia would disagree. Their churches are palatial and the only Catholic church within miles looks like someone’s tool shed.
It’s a moot point anyway as I am now an Atheist but it certainly is food for thought. So this little video is something to contemplate. Many thanks to Mother Hen, an MMA writer, for turning me onto it. You can find her original post here.
In the meantime enjoy the video and please tell me that as a practicing Catholic I was a Christian. In the alternative was I really an Infidel in the eyes of the Jesus Jumpers? That would be OK you know because no doubt I am an infidel now…….

I’ve never gotten into religion at all. The ‘rents took me to church to see if I could but nope, not their little heathen child. I’m with JR up there, hate the Talibangelicals. In fact, I just finished reading Markos Moulatsis’ American Taliban, comparison to the fundy Islamists is all there with them.
The rest of you need to repent though, because the wages of sin is death or something. Best do it before payday so you can be covered, just sayin is all. You just know if there is a god he/she is saying to her/himself don’t make me come down there people, I’ll come quickly. Which is kind of sad when you think about that coming quickly stuff for a second.
I hope your post on this fantastic poem gets more mileage than mine did. It is truly an inspired piece.
Catholics count as Christians to me, as do Jehovah’s Witlesses and Mormons. All three are considered “cults” by other Christians though. “Catholic” and all brands of “Protestant” all wear the Christian hat. After that you just get into degrees of weird.

I see a difference between Christians and Jesusistanis. The problem is that the most vocal and visible of the religious lot are the ones I refer to with spitting contempt as Jesusistanis.
I try to make that distinction JR, as most of my friends Christians who are good and decent folk who never try to recruit me for the Army of the Lord.
