FLASH NEWS: Two Immigration/Customs Enforcement officers shot in Mexico (updated)
(NewsCore) – MEXICO CITY — Two US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) special agents were shot in Mexico Tuesday afternoon.
The agents, who had been assigned to the ICE Attache office in Mexico City, were shot while driving between Mexico City and Monterrey by unknown assailants, ICE said in a statement.
The condition of the officers was unclear.
“ICE is working with the US State Department, Mexican authorities and other US law enforcement partners to investigate the shooting,” the agency said.
