Air India says it’s flying 11 flights with all-female flight crews, including on one of its ultra-long haul routes between New Delhi and Toronto. Air France, it says it is flying a female-only crew today on Air France Flight 188 from Paris Charles de Gaulle to Hong Kong.

Air France says in a press release that a “fully female” crew of 18 will operate the flight, “welcoming a crew made up of 3 female pilots and 15 air hostesses.

The press release went on to say: about 7% of its approximately 4,200 pilots are women. The airline adds “female flight captains pilot every type of aircraft, including the most recent aircraft to join the Air France fleet, the Airbus 380.”

Thank you ladies

International Women’s Day (IWD), originally called International Working Women’s Day is marked on March 8 every year. It is a major day of global celebration of women. In different regions the focus of the celebrations ranges from general celebration of respect, appreciation and love towards women to a celebration for women’s economic, political and social achievements.

Started as a Socialist political event, the holiday blended in the culture of many countries, primarily Eastern Europe, Russia, and the former Soviet bloc. In many regions, the day lost its political flavor, and became simply an occasion for men to express their love for women in a way somewhat similar to a mixture of Mother’s Day and St Valentine’s Day. In other regions, however, the original political and human rights theme designated by the United Nations runs strong, and political and social awareness of the struggles of women worldwide are brought out and examined in a hopeful manner.

The first IWD was observed on March 19, 1911 in Germany following a declaration by the Socialist Party of America. The idea of having an international women’s day was first put forward at the turn of the 20th century amid rapid world industrialization and economic expansion that led to protests over working conditions.

Gender role reversal is a banker funded abomination.

This story is so unbelievably worrying.
Don’t you all realise that this move to all-female flight crews will cause world wide havoc.
Every flight will now leave after the scheduled time, as the ladies will have to fix their hair, lipstick and makeup before taking off. Probably they’ll stop the plane right on the edge of the actual runway, and get very annoyed if asked to move.

I think all men should be celebrating International Women’s Day.
