Charlie Sheen fired by Warner Brothers!
The eccentric and often wild star of CBS’ Two and a Half Men has been fired by Warner Bros. the parent company of CBS. Here’s the story from the NYT:
Warner Brothers announced Monday that they have fired Charlie Sheen from his hit comedy “Two and a Half Men.”
The terse official statement read, “After careful consideration, Warner Bros. Television has terminated Charlie Sheen’s services on “Two and a Half Men” effective immediately.”
The studio, which owns and produces the series, will decide about the future of the show at a later date, a spokesman said.
The move comes after CBS and Warner Brothers on Feb. 25 discontinued the latest season of the show after Mr. Sheen verbally attacked the show’s executive producer. After the show was discontinued, Mr. Sheen continued to berate the producer, Chuck Lorre, giving a series of interviews to the morning shows of two networks, a gossip Web site and a Los Angeles radio station, transfixing the public and feeding a media frenzy.
CBS has informed a MadMike’s source that no decision has been made concerning the future of Two and a Half Men.

Charlie will learn, just as Susan Summers and many others have learned, you are not bigger than the machine.
Very true Tom, but unlike Sommers, Charlie has talent and potential 🙂
Fired? But why? Mr. Sheen is obviously such an excellent human being. He works hard to pay those two young nannies.

OK Tom. We rarely allow outside blog links in comments, at least those that are self serving, I took a minute to look at your post and am not sure I get it. Did Charlie really give half of his salary to charity 🙂 🙂
I like the show too, but if it is gone it’s gone! No show is that important…….
I agree Barbara. Charlie just pushed the CBS monster a little too far.
Now if you take my Facebook away, I will be very, very, very mad!
Never saw that coming.
While I don’t quite get the show, it won’t be the same show without old Charlie. The show was him playing himself without the domestic violence.
It’s a good show. Charlie basically plays himself. Quite frankly I enjoyed it.
