Wisconsin farmers: JUST SAY NO!
A parade of tractors circled the streets of downtown in protest at Gov. Scott Walker’s decision to push through the budget bill that strips public employees of their collective bargaining rights.
Protesters are also calling for court challenges and recall elections not just for Walker but for his republican allies who signed the bill.
The 14 democrats who had fled Wisconsin in a bid to block the bill addressed the cheering crowd and vowed to continue the fight.
Civil Right’s leader Rev. Jesse Jackson once again paid a visit to Madison and reminded the crowd that the fight is part of a larger struggle for social justice.
While the governor might have won the battle for the time being, it’s difficult to tell if he’s won the war, but no doubt the controversy has helped shift the focus of public attention to collective-bargaining rights and the economic health of the middle class.

The question is will he do so much damage that it will take years for the state to recover from it like he did as a county administrator. The voting public has yet to recognize how much damage the Bush Administration did to the national economy during his 8 years. They are flocking back to Repubs already to have it done to them again except this time the middle and lower class will get screwed even more. They don’t have the surplus to squander that they had in 2000.
I’ve no doubt that this guy has done irreparable harm to the state of Wisconsin Bill. I wonder what the majority who voted him into office are thinking now?
