Unexpected last picture of Atlantis leaving Earth
Perhaps the last photograph
taken from Earth atmosphere of
Space Shuttle Atlantis
Space Shuttle Atlantis blasted off for the last time on July 8, the final launch ever for NASA’s Space Shuttle program. A young man was on a flight to Miami, as his plane flew over Florida’s Space Coast, 18 year-old Ryan Graff was in the right place at the right time and took this tremendous photograph of Atlantis’ smoke trail using his iPhone.
MadMikesAmerica used the picture without permission of Ryan Graff. If we knew where he lived we would write him a nice letter begging to use this historic photograph.
