Christians seek to kill Atheists objecting to cross at Ground Zero

Loving Christians want to murder and rape Atheists objecting to Jesus symbol at Ground Zero

Facebook Christians Advocating Death, Rape and Harm to Atheists

As a result of a cross being erected at Ground Zero, Atheists filed a suit to have it removed citing the many different religions and beliefs of those unfortunates who perished on 9/11/2001.

According to the lawsuit, among the 2,792 people killed in the twin towers, 31 were Muslim Americans, approximately 400 to 500 were Jewish Americans, approximately 500 were non-religious Americans, and an unknown number were Americans of other faiths. (So, about half of the people who died were not Christian.)

The Christians, however, are outraged by this action and, following the piece that was aired on FOX, posted thousands of comments on the Fox Facebook Page.  The range and malevolence of these God loving, Jesus jumping Christians is astonishing.  Read them for yourself and let us  know what you think about these kind and gentle church goers.

The list below, assembled by One Man’s Blog, represents just some of the comments directed at Atheists that were captured before the content on Fox’s FaceBook page was deleted. Each commentator’s name is linked to their Facebook profile if it can be found, along with the quote attributed to that person.

Paul Altum

i say kill them all and let them see for themselves that there is God

Bob O’Connell

Shoot them. Shoot to kill.

Joe Martinez

To ALL ATHEIEST DIE AN GO TO HELL HAHA IF I COULD ID SHOOT ALL OF YOU IN THE HEAD WITH A 12GUAGE

Joseph Sneckenberg

thats easy shoot them

Casey M Jones

Shoot em. At least we know where they’re going, waste of oxygen

Mike Holeschek

Nail them to the cross then display it.

Chris Dunn

I thinly we should hang the leader of that group on the cross with nails through their hands and feet, place a crown of thorns upon their head, RAM a spear through their side all after being whipped and beaten publicly! Just so they can endure what Christ dod so they understand the sacrifice behind what that cross symbolizes.

Bob O’Connell

They’re atheists so it won’t matter if you kill them.

Tim Allison

KILL THEM.

Richard Silvia

someone show me where they live&and they will live no mere!

Raylene Ingmire

Here’s my solution, kill the group..just kidding, you figure it out. I’m so sick of people that pick and choose when they want to truly be American. They can go to Hell oh wait they will.

Sindy Clock

stupid atheists, I hope God kills them all.

Sindy Clock

I love Jesus, and the cross and if you dont, I hope someone rapes you!

Eileen Rourke

Any court or lawyer who takes this case should be hung!!!! If you look at some of the people who are atheists they are all miserable looking because they don’t have any faith in anything. You should all go live in another country. You have taken enough of my rights away.

Hans Anderson

atheist has no rights a snail has more rights than a atheist has I say throw them out to the sharks let them eat them like the ate bin laden

Michael Perri

these people are f’ing scum of the earth. can we start killing them now? few groups are filled with more hatred than atheists.

Scott Miller

IF THE CROSS OFFENDS YOU: SO SHOULD THIS COUNTRY; LEAVE BEFORE WE KILL YOU!!!!

Patrick Alley

Kill em all…let God sort em out. Guess what Atheists…

So, What Do You Think?

There have also been a lot of Tweets related to this issue, but I’m really wondering what YOU think about it?

  • Christians, is it really acceptable to say, “I’m not like them. Those aren’t real Christians!” After all, the people who made these comments would say the exact same thing about you.
  • Non-Christian people who identify with another religion, do you think your religion should be able to display a memorial to the believers who died alongside the Christians?
  • Non-believers, is it really so important to warrant a national campaign to not allow a single Christian symbol at a monument for the dead?

We at MMA are DYING to hear what you think about these gentle souls and their charitable comments concerning the Atheists.

honestly, i dont see why they have to make a big deal about it. i understand you want to make it so it follows the 1st amendment, and i agree that it should, and they want it so that only they are allowed to do it, but why shouldnt other religions be allowed to put up a monument alongside it? i guess what im trying to say is that i dont care what “christians” say, their behavior is bad and they should feel bad.

This doesn’t represent the viewpoint of the vast majority of religious people. Judging by the grammar (or lack thereof) these people are bottom-of-the-barrel hillbillies.

Atheists are winning the minds of America’s youth. It will take a hundred years or more, but these deluded morons will die out.

TheModerateCentrist

Personally I think we should allow all religions to have their say. Then let them kill each other. I am an atheist and needless to say they will seriously fuck each other up over this.

Christians hate other Christians, depending on the denomination. They all hate the Catholics, who claim to be Catholic, not Christian.

‘few groups are filled with more hatred than atheists.’

Said one of the guys up top. I can think of a couple. They’re called Christians. Creationists.

Take a look at what you yourself are saying, then re-read the Bible again. Try and put two and two together. You are contradicting EVERYTHING you believe in with PURE HATRED. Are you fucking serious? How ignorant can people be, really? You hide behind your religion and believe that you are doing right in what you say and how you act out of hatred, and you say atheists are filled with hatred? Not even close.

You have the wrong ideas about atheists. Take a look at yourselves before you go judging other people over bullshit.

TheModerateCentrist

Agreed! These morons are pathetic. Using religion and hiding behind the computer, pathetic.

Christians have been hiding behind the cross for years, so no surprise at the hiding part 🙂

I wonder if all those “Christians” realize they sound a lot like the Phelps family.

If the cross “just happened” to be there.. does that mean God/Jesus tagged his handy work?

Fearless

Honestly, I don’t really give a damn if they want to pray to a steel cross member. I will however say that if they want to be represented religiously at a national monument, then they cannot be the only ones represented. The only other option as I see it is to not represent any religions at the memorial, what doesn’t exist doesn’t grant preference to anyone or offend anyone, so it’s really the better option.

I would open the monuments section to any group that wishes to erect a monument that represents those loved ones lost in the attack on the twin towers. Given a choice between all or nothing, I choose all.
Personally, as a Christian, I wouldn’t be offended by a Moon and Star, Yin and Yang, and red on black Atheist ‘A’ erected on the site with the i-beam cross. Something in carved black marble, perhaps? It’s sort of like the roadside memorials loved ones erect at the site of fatal car crashes. Some are made of flowers, or photographs, flags, crosses, stuffed animals, whatever. They’re not about what the victims believed in so much as what the persons lost meant to those loved ones who were left.

Bradley Scott

Bah! It’s a couple pieces of I-beam nobody gave a shit about until some atheists who think this frivolous lawsuit is the best way to stir up the Cristianuts decided to bait the kooks. Bravo. You’ve proved you’re smart enough to upset idiots. Like Madeline Murray O’Hare, rather than petiton for ‘In God We Trust,’ to be taken off our money, have it changed to, ‘In Dog We Trust.’ Needlessly inflamatory, like this lawsuit, and your post.
P.S. Stop being such a drama queen, you’re not being persecuted.

Once again MM the postings of this less than sagacious hillbilly hick are annoying as hell. His comments are idiotic and I’m actually surprised you engage him at all. Remember about the crazies…..don’t engage ’em. And remember not to be afraid of everything … LOL!

fiona64

@SagaciousHillbilly: The problem is that you ignore people like this at your own peril. Have you forgotten that people like Andreas Breivik, Scott Loughner, Eric Rudolph and Timothy McVeigh all self-identify as Christians and justify their terrorism through their faith? I don’t think these people are saying anything other than what is in their hearts.

There are a lot of folks who justify their bigotry and violence by cherry-picking certain verses from their scriptures. They would cheerfully turn Margaret Atwood’s “A Handmaid’s Tale” into reality. And many of them? Are Tea Party Republicans — who are trying to insert their Dominionist Religion into law. Pay attention to what’s happening around you, and speak out against it. Don’t scoff; apathy is what allows this crap to happen.

Jen

As and Atheist who does not appreciate anyone shoving their beliefs down my throat, be it a christian or another atheist, I have to say that I am against this lawsuit. We have more pressing issues that as a group we could work on fixing and show the world that we are not the group of people that others make us out to sound like.. Why do we have to become as militant as the ones we hate? It is going from one extreme to the next..

As an American I am against this lawsuit, because they have a right to their opinions, let one of the other groups file and work on this lawsuit,Let them be militant against one another. The Muslims can do it, the Jews can do it. Why do we have to be the group that speaks out so loudly against it? While I agree that their imaginary friend has not business in the political realm of things, I also believe that they have a right to make their decisions based on what they feel is right, just as I have.. I want the right to be an atheist, I want the right to choose not to go to church and pay tithes, the only way I keep that is to give them their rights.. Atheism is not a religion for me it is merely a set of beliefs. Something that I feel a lot of people should remember, it is not right to go from one extreme to the next, have we never learned that two wrongs do not make a right..It is for us to set examples that there can be good done with out a god, to show the world that you don’t need a god to do good, but to speak out against their god before proving that we can do good with out one, just makes us look as militant as they are.. It is not right by any means!

As an ex Christian who is sick of the crap and scams of Christianity, I feel like it should not be allowed to have the cross there either. It is a sickening thing that people will see that, and some how feel like killing hundreds of innocent people in war is ok because it is defending a region.

Ah, isn’t that cute! Someone who, A), doesn’t have the integrity to post their trollish ways under anything but an anonymous label and B) essentially replicates what the article is about in the first place. It is like an unexpected case-study in stupid.

I also especially like how this person thinks the term ‘atheist’ is an insult. I wasn’t aware that such descriptive terms were considered harsh reprimands.

Am I paying this person too much attention, yes. Is it what they probably wanted, quite possibly. None the less, I still find it funny.

“Loving Christians want to murder and rape Atheists objecting to Jesus symbol at Ground Zero”

Why would you post something as inaccurate and inflammatory as that?

As an atheist I know that Christians are not out to kill me and those who make ridiculous statements like those above are simply morons sitting behind the safety of their computers.
Why bother with such absurdity?

Here’s something novel for ya MJ, there are handfuls of lunatics all over the place that want to do all sorts of things. If I spend my time worrying about all of them I’m not doing much of anything but living in fear. Enjoy.

I’d agree, but this “handful” effects legislation constantly. The sad reality is that there are more of these types than you give credit to. They’re not a small minority. They’re quite large and loud. A culture war is going to begin soon as more and more stand up against religion. They’ll fight their extinction violently.

Makes me all warm and fuzzy to be loved like this, no really it does. Nothing says I am Christian, than wanting harm to come to another being. It’s in the book somewhere and if not, well it damn well should be. It’s probably in the conservative book somewhere, or they can pull it out of their asses to show it’s ok to say these things as Christians. You firebreathing libruls want tolerance and it won’t be happening anytime soon with these good Amrukan gods fearing people. Do not make me say it people, it will make the baby Jesus weep if I have to explain myself here.

Of course, as a recovering Catholic, I no longer believe in any of the BS I was fed as a child. I am also not offended by anyone that does believe, if that’s what gets you thru your day, good for you. I do, however, have a problem with you shoving your religion down my throat. What exactly is being done that steps on your rights? No one is preventing you from praying or wearing a symbol of your faith. They are only preventing you from imposing your symbol of faith on all the rest of us. I don’t understand why this is such a difficult concept. Pray all you want, just not in my face or at my expense. Does anyone understand the seperation of church and state?

To address the violence in their comments, not totally surprising given Christianity’s history of intolerance. Ironic how the viciousness of these comments directed at fellow Americans is as violent or more so than the very people that attacked us. What a pathetic group.

I think if they’re gonna play the libertarian card then shove it up their self righteous asses. Commission to have a pagan and Islamic symbol placed there in memory of the non christian victims. And watch them squirm and suffer under their own bullshit idea.

Also gotta love how they act like the cross was some supernatural force. The two towers would have what thousands of cross-secting girders, typical religious idiocy on full display here.

You are so right Dale! The religious think they own the world and everything that seems out of place but in their favor is some sort of miracle. I was positively struck though by their level of hatred for the people who filed the suit. You know this has to be preached on Sunday at their churches, but probably done more diplomatically than it is in the comments.
