The Perils of Perry

Rove blasts Perry?

Governor Goodhair Perry earns reproach from conservatives AND progressives

How do you alienate both Democrats and Republicans with a single statement? Only Rick Perry has the magic touch. If America seeks unification and civility, Perry’s lunacy may have helped pave the way.

Perry: Im coming after yall Rove

Both Democrats and Republicans soundly criticized Rick Perry about his US Federal Reserve comment. The Texas governor said if Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke orders more money to be printed, Perry would view the act as treasonous printed more cash between now and the 2012 election.

Governor Goodhair succeeded former President George W Bush as Texas governor in 2000. Political pundits consider him a strong contender for the Republican party’s candidate for the 2012 presidential election. In his first three days as a presidential contender, Perry alienated Democrats by implying that the US military does not respect Mr Obama as commander-in-chief.

White House spokesman, Jay Carney, said I certainly think threatening the Fed chairman is not a good idea.

Many pundits suggest that the Texas governor’s statement implies that he believes Bernanke should be put to death, because treason is a capital offense. Perry is stands by his comments. A spokesperson said, He is passionate about getting federal finances under control.

Even Karl Rove is outraged and denounced Perry. The Bush vs. Perry clans have a long history of feuding and animosity. Bushie Karl Rove took almost no time in taking his opportunity to blast the Governor. He slammed Perry for calling Federal Reserve chairman, Ben Bernanke’s, policies almost treasonous. Rove said Perry’s controversial remark was not presidential. You don’t accuse the chairman of the Federal Reserve of being a traitor to his country, of being guilty of treason and suggesting that we treat him pretty ugly in Texas.

Bush and Perry merged with little difference noted.

Rove’s American Crossroads PAC will be a key financial support to the Republicans. He made a short career of late telling it like it is to ultra cons voices like Perry. In 2010, Rove attacked Christine O’Donnell and led some of the biggest voices in conservatism to turn on him: he backed down.

Perry is no O’Donnell, but is extremely popular with many of the same hard right voters on which she relied. Once again, Rove clashes with the GOP’s right wing in his attacks on Perry, who many consider a strong candidate for winning the 2012 primary. Perry is extremely popular with many of the same voters on which O’Donnell relied

If Rick Perry were to be elected president he’d be saddled with Ben Bernanke who has a term. He’s an independent chairman of the federal reserve board, appointed by president and confirmed by Congress and serves for a term and the president couldn’t even ask him to resign. So, this is —I hope this is not the first of sort of over the top statements, said Rove. President Bush appointed as Federal Reserve Chair Bernike in 2006, and reappointed by President Obama.

.
ThinkProgress reports, Rove also took on Perry over his attempts to distance himself from Bush, whom he served with as Lt. Gov. of Texas before ascending to the big chair when Bush moved to the White House. Pete Wehner, former Bush speechwriter commented Perry should offer a substantive critique of Bernanke’s policies, not libel the man.

Previous examples of Mr Perry’s blunt talking have included his suggestion in 2009 that Texans were so fed up with federal tax policies that they might consider secession from the United States. Last year, the Texas governor described the catastrophic oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico as an act of God.

Gov. Ann Richards must be turning over in her grave. Too bad Molly Ivins isn’t around to comments on the bipartisan fireworks

.
Although there is dissent in the Democratic party, it would seem the un-breachable brick façade of the GOP is showing some serious cracks. It would be interesting to see Gov. Goodhair and Bachmann attempt to debate.

Could the Republicans be that crazy? You know politics are crazy when Karl Rove sounds reasonable. Will Perry win the GOP nomination, given the opposition he faces in his own party and his inability to keep his idiotic rhetoric to himself?

Does he say ‘Nookyouler?’ Because, apparently, to be taken seriously as a Republican candidate, you have to say ‘Nookyouler.’

This guy is so stupid and ignorant that people may just vote for him. The fact that some are saying that he is like George Bush but not as smart is scary as hell. The only good thing is that the Bush people don’t like him

I had the TV news on this morning and I heard George Bush being interviewed while I was mopping the floor. When I looked at the TV I saw that it was Rick Perry. Enough said.
