With so much doubt about Davis’ innocence, and the hundreds of thousands of petitions signed by American citizens, the Board’s actions are unacceptable. Laura Moye of Amnesty International delivered boxes of almost a million signatures imploring the George Board of Pardons and Paroles to stop this senseless killing. Mass protesters marched down Auburn Avenue in Atlanta Friday night—approximately 3,500 joined in the protest this unthinkable injustice.

Don’t leave those in power give a potentially innocent man a lethal injection. Please join Amnesty International to call on the Chatham County Board in Savannah to reconsider its unacceptable decision.

A serious miscarriage of justice may occur on Wednesday. Please take action by signing the Amnesty International’s petition. Davis’ sentencing violates human rights: his life is on the line. If he’s found innocent posthumously, he

Let Georgia know that executing Troy Davis’ execution will deepen the cycle of violence and injustice. Amnesty International plans a protest on September 21st, the day Davis is scheduled to be strapped to a gurney and given a lethal injection.

Please sign the petition to stay Davis’ execution

I am 100% opposed to the death penalty and tho I respect your opinion Mike, I sincerely do not think he is guilty which makes this decision a greater horror!

Troy Davis may be a cop killer, but the fact that there remains ANY doubt about his guilt convinces me that he should not be executed (and yes, I agree that life in prisonment is an appropriate punishment for hard-core criminals). Although I believe the American system of justice is the best in the world, NO human system is flawless–i.e., completely free of error and bias–so the possibility of executing an innocent person remains. This is why I oppose the death penalty. I already signed the Amnesty petition, and I intend to call the DA as well.

If this thing happens, it could get a little testy in Georgia and perhaps elsewhere too.

While I am opposed to the death penalty I won’t sign a petition to prevent his execution. Literally hundreds of people, from judges, to lawyers, to psychiatrists, cops, consultants, and etc., have pored over the evidence in this case, dozens and dozens of times. I am pretty sure if they had doubts this execution would be stayed. The fact it the case against him is strong therefore justice should be done, although I would much prefer to see this cop killer be imprisoned for life. It is worse than death.

I understand you point Mike but think a little differently. It is time this country join other civilized nations and banned the death penalty in favor of life in prison. Even then we would be in the minority.
