Disgruntled Democrats Republicans Best Voting Bloc

Read Time:1 Minute, 33 Second

It’s the angry left who’s pushing
the country to the right

After watching republican Bob Turner take former Congressman Weiner’s vacated seat, my glee was matched by my bewilderment that a republican could possibly win a seat that was gerrymandered overwhelmingly to elect a democrat.

Did everyone come to their senses and decide a conservative leaning legislator was in their best interests? Were they so upset at Weiner’s peccadilloes that they refused to vote for another democrat? While both of these are good reasons to vote for a republican, my best guess is that many on the left abandoned their party out of spite at policies pushed by the Obama Administration. In doing so, they cut off their nose to spite their face.

I fully support our nation moving towards a conservative government, one with strong moral values that would show leadership. So, I and America as a whole benefit by the actions induced by the anger of the extreme left wing. My question is, respectfully of course, is how does the extreme left think we will move further to their way of thinking by giving elected offices to republicans?

I don’t wish to be exiled from MMA for gloating, that isn’t my intent. The thought of a Rick Perry presidency horrifies me and that has become a distinct possibility after seeing the results in New York last night.

I’ve said many times here that I can live with Obama as president. His handling of the Libya situation has been superb. The economy, while weak, has been prevented from a total crash. And he has been good to business. Perhaps too good to big business. But they foot the bills for the parties so I suppose that’s to be expected.

So in closing I have this advice for the democrats. Keep doing what you’re doing because it’s sure helping us republicans.

Milton, this is purely anecdotal, but I know a ton of democrats personally, and I seen lots of them who are fed up because of Obama not being liberal enough. I do not know a single democrat that would vote for a republican.

I don’t what happened there, but the democratic base is fed up with republicans masquerading as democrats. You would be hard-pressed to find a democrat that has anything put contempt for the Republican Tea Party leadership.

No what this was, was a very pro Israel group telling people that Weprin was not as for Israel as Turner is and they were skillful in getting that message out in a predominantly Jewish leaning area. NOM spent money there too, with ads against Weprin and those Jesus freaks have all kinds of money to spend, since they don’t spend it on.. you know.. Jesusy things, like taking care of the sick and what not. Don’t get it twisted, that this was a referendum on dems or PO. This district is looking like it will be gone next yr anyway, with redistricting, so he may just be there to screw it up for a yr with his just say no attitude.
