Loony Michele Bachmann repeats promise of $2 gas

Michele Bachmann is not the smartest person in the room

The sane, rational thinking person would know that Michele Bachmann, is, well, not quite the smartest person in the room.  Life is too short to give an accounting of her many excursions into la-la-land but her latest journey is worth repeating.

You see Michele Bachmann isn’t giving up on her $2-a-gallon gas, today repeating her pledge to bring pump prices down, reports Politico. Asked by Face the Nation’sBob Scheiffer how she would hit that magic number, Bachmann cited “an all-of-the-above energy strategy,” blasting the Obama administration for foiling domestic energy production. But Bachmann rejected Scheiffer’s suggested price controls, saying, “I’m an unashamed apologist for the free market.”

Bachmann also addressed her previous statement about drilling in the Everglades, emphasizing that her key word was “responsibly.”

I didn’t say we should drill in the Everglades. What I said—because we know that thousands of Floridians receive their drinking water from the Everglades—what I said is that we need to open up resources across the United States of America, but do it responsibly, because we need to make sure that of course we need to make sure that we don’t do anything that has degradation for habitat or for drinking water or for air quality.

Now be honest with us.  Will you be voting for Michele Bachmann in 2012 just so you can pay a mere $2 for gas?

Mike, I realize that it is being rather cynical on my part, but there is absolutely nothing Michele Bachmann could promise me, personally, even with a 100% money back guarantee, that she would do for me, the country, the world, or even the universe that would get me to vote for her.

I hope after this she is out of congress then she and her hubby can stay in Minnesota doing what they do so long as I never hear from her again. I feel the same way about Palin, Perry, Santorum, and the other nutty right wingers. I am ready for rational people to step up to the plate of governance and govern.
