Barney Frank: Nasty Newt’s behavior “outlandish”

Congressman Barney Frank, veteran of those hallowed halls, took on the intellectually arrogant Newt Gingrich for his ridiculous allegations.
Barney Frank is still firing back at Newt Gingrich’s suggestion that Frank and Chris Dodd be jailed because of their roles in the financial mess. In a new statement, Frank reminds Gingrich that Republicans ran the show in Congress from 1995 to 2006, and he says the GOP did nothing to check the growing financial crisis during that time. “Apparently, Newt Gingrich—who considers himself one of the intellectual leaders of the free world—is so embarrassed by the fact that he is running behind Michele Bachmann in Republican polls that it has increased his already well-developed propensity to utter outlandish things,” he said.
No doubt Barney Frank as made a lot of powerful friends over the years. Newt Gingrich only demonstrates his poor judgement by being so foolish as to take him on.
