Ted Nugent takes a hard-right jab at OWS protesters

Ted Nugent opens up a 40 gallon barrel of smack-talk in a florid attempt to put down OWS protesters

The following is an op-ed written by full-time macho-man, and part-time musician, Ted Nugent and published in that bastion of far-flung right “journalism”, The Washington Times

Idiots are easily manipulated. They are useful pawns, and that’s about it. Consider the stooges of the fledgling movement “Occupy Wall Street.” These useful idiots are clamoring for social justice, as if they don’t have enough of that already.

From what I can tell, the softheaded numskulls of Occupy Wall Street want investment bankers to give up their wealth, as in “spread the wealth around.” They are blaming Wall Street for the sad state of our economic malaise and for all the other problems of the world.

Poster boy for the morbidly obese and natural leader of the hygiene-challenged, uber-lefty America-haters, Michael Moore spoke out in favor of Occupy Wall Street. What he didn’t tell the crowd of useful idiots and what they are too stupid to grasp is that he is one of the wealthy individuals whom he and they supposedly despise. I would gladly pay for a first-class, one-way ticket for Mr. Moore to the socialist or Marxist country of his choosing if he promises to stay there.

Occupy Wall Street is nothing more than anti-American socialism on parade.

Yes, people, especially young people, have a right to be angry, and the smart ones are focusing their anger on President Obama, Rep. Barney Frank, former Sen. Christopher J. Dodd, and other anti-free-market socialists. They are the ones who have wrecked the economy.

The president is losing the support of educated young people in droves. Now that reality has set in and they can’t find good jobs, are struggling to pay back student loans and have moved back into their parents’ basements, the enthusiasm for “hope and change” fantasy has taken a well-deserved hit.

Of course, the uninspired, uneducated, unskilled and stoned have been conditioned for generations to expect something for nothing. They will always be in the tank of the left-wing movement – and they will always be unmotivated and poor and will continue to blame others for their condition. Instead of busting their humps working two or three jobs, they have time to protest on Wall Street. Fascinating.

Our economy hit the skids in large part because of Democrats’ refusal to provide fundamental oversight of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Toss in massive government borrowing and spending, untold new anti-free-market regulations, and you get a sputtering economy. Duh.

And this is the fault of Wall Street bankers, many of whom also have lost good jobs? Only a useful idiot could arrive at that conclusion. The way out of this economic quicksand is to reverse course by tossing out the socialists and Marxists and electing people who understand what it takes to make an economy vibrant and strong.

America has embraced big government for decades. Embracing Fedzilla’s anti-free-market principles has been and will continue to be a job killer. It is the uneducated and unskilled who are feeling the most pain.

Smart people quietly chuckle at the antics of goons like Michael Moore and Roseanne Barr. Smart people know that Mr. Moore and Miss Barr represent a fringe movement of people who are poor because they have made a lifetime of poor choices. Expecting others to remedy that by surrendering their wealth is a fool’s game. It’s also anti-American and downright anti-human.

Occupy Wall Street is empty-headed. Stinky hippies, generational slaves to Fedzilla and the transparent entitled are the problem, not the solution.

Madmikesamerica wants to know if you think Ted Nugent should just shut up and play his guitar.

Months ago, he was on Fox news criticizing young people as lazy and unmotivated because they weren’t in the streets protesting and confronting the police like they were when he was that age (not that he was actually doing that himself, by his own admission).
Now that they are, he’s criticizing them as idiotic pawns being manipulated by the Socialist conspiracy.

I guess he meant that they should have only been protesting in favor of things that he agrees with.

I think he’s an asshole. Never liked him or his music, although I love the genre.

You folks all know where old Ted was when the Tea Partiers where acting up and misbehaving don’t ya. He was right there with them waving his guns around. He is a certified nut case. Anyone who listens to him probably is also. I never liked his music either.

I am a full-time construction worker, 48years old and a full-time OWS supporter, protester, fascilitater, and this 4.2 MILLION STRONG MOVEMENT is just a 2 month old baby, with a year between now and the General. No wonder Teddy’s all sweaty. Only a fool couldn’t see the writing on the wall.
So you used to be popular with kids who grew up and are now embarrassed to’ve heard of you, much less been a fan. You’re about to learn the difference between radical activists and hormonally challenged fans, douchebag. Ridiculous old irrelevent turd. We forgive them (and each other) our former naivete, but not your calculated exploitation of impressionable youth, arrogance and willful ignorance, Uncle Pervy.

If he’s such a gung-ho American, why is he wearing confederate battle flag?

Geez! I’m embarrassed. Ted who? Am I showing my age? Ted Nugent. Ted Nugent. I’m thinking…have I heard that name? No. I’m sure of it. Never heard the name. So much for his relevance, at least with me 🙂 🙂

Ted Nugent’s political opinion is about as relevant as getting my science news from Victoria Jackson or SpongeBob SquarePants.

He had a couple of good songs way back when he was with the Amboy Dukes,in particular Great White Buffalo, but since then it’s been “Wango Fango” or “Cat Scratch” screech meant for the 15 year old “me horny, drive fast” teen market.

ALL of his songs are the equivalent to fingernails on the chalkboard to me and if I had a choice in a long trip, I would pick a muffler dragging on the highway underneath the car over one of his CD’s in the stereo.

I do remember when he made himself the legal guardian of an underage girl so he could marry her. And it seems like he had some problems with paying child support. So perhaps he would be good at asking advice on how to skirt the law when it comes to being a cad and not getting arrested.

I think Krell just covered all the bases with that one.

CH, you touch a real raw nerve with me. This article needed posting to expose the lunatic fringe for what they are. Nugent is just articulating what most of them believe.

No, I don’t think Nugent should just shut up and play guitar–I don’t even want to him to insult a musical instrument by letting him touch one. As michael said, he is completely and utterly irrelevant: a legend in his own mind.

We all know Occupy America is one of the most patriotic protests in history. What’s wrong with life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness?

I never liked Nugent: he’s a talentless hack. A muffler dragging on the highway would be far more melodic, Thanks for suggesting me with a more preferable choice for driving music, Krell.

I would welcome his offer about a one-way ticket to a socialist country. Seven of the top 10 best countries to live in are socialist. Can someone explain to me why, when some of the hard-right wing nuts hear the word “socialism,” they flip out?

Speaking of getting your science from Spongebob, at least the cartoon was created by an oceanographer.

He’s right about one thing: Idiots are easily manipulated. Nugent just doesn’t know he’s one of many poster boys for idiot.

Please note that I’m holding back my disdain.

Wow. Didn’t know that about Spongey Bob being created by a Oceanographer. Well, that leaves Victoria Jackson… whom I’m pretty sure was created by a sponge, judging by the ramblings in her videos.
Dorothy, I think we share a mutual disliking of the Nugent. Can’t say much for his raccoon tail / confederate flag / M16 ensemble he’s got going on either. Sort of outfit that makes one instinctively back away, like a stranger swatting imaginary bugs in the air or an animal biting it’s own leg.

Ted Nugent is a fool and a blow hard. Like Anonymous said, if they had jobs they wouldn’t be protesting.

You know what kills me is that all these anti-OWS people imply (at least) that the protesters are trading working for protesting, like they’re making a choice between work & protest… Ummm, isn’t one of the central tenets of the movement, JOBS? As in NO JOBS? Many of them are out there protesting at least partially because they have no job or have lost their job… Meanwhile, the corporations are sitting on trillions in profits… Cat scratch this, Ted!
