The Sunday Talk Show Roundup

Read Time:1 Minute, 33 Second

I have long entertained the idea of publishing a Sunday talk show preview but there always seemed to be something standing in the way of putting it together, like time.

So, when I ran across this great little run down I figured they wouldn’t mind if we borrowed their article.  After all, even the big guys enjoy entertaining new visitors.

So, that being said, here is Sunday’s talk show tip sheet from Politico:

Texas Gov. Rick Perry makes his Sunday television talk show debut this weekend as a presidential candidate.

Struggling for momentum in the race for the Republican presidential nomination, the governor is the marquis guest on “Fox News Sunday.”

Other contenders – Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.), Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas) and former Godfather’s pizza CEO Herman Cain – appear separately on three other shows.

Bachmann is on ABC’s “This Week.” Paul is a guest on CNN’s “State of the Union.” And Cain is on CBS’s “Face the Nation.”

ABC also has Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates, along with former House Majority Leader Dick Armey (R-Texas) and Austan Goolsbee, the former chairman of President Barack Obama’s Council of Economic Advisers.

And CNN has the president’s chief campaign strategist, David Axelrod.

Meanwhile, NBC’s “Meet the Press” interviews White House senior adviser David Plouffe, who was Obama’s 2008 campaign manager.

Bloomberg TV’s “Political Capital” has Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus.

And on C-SPAN’s “Newsmakers,” the acting director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency, Edward DeMarco, is interviewed by the Wall Street Journal’s Nick Timiraos.

Finally, Housing and Urban Development Secretary Shaun Donovan is on TV One’s “Washington Watch.”

Are you a fan of the Sunday Talk Shows?  I am, at least one of them, how about you?  Is there one in particular you would never miss?

I like this. It saves me time because I know ahead of time what not to watch. 😉 At least there are a few Democrats this Sunday, which has been a missing commodity for so many months.
