A Testy Ron Paul stalks off CNN set
If Ron Paul can’t stand the heat of a CNN interview how could he possibly withstand the pressures of the presidency?
This is a testy, humorless man who doesn’t stand a chance at being the next president, at least not while carrying the Republican banner.
Hey Ron! Run on a third party ticket! Spread the word to all your “fans” that you shall divide and conquer, and then take out the FAA, EPA, FDA, and the rest of the government agencies that see to our safety and health.
Here’s the latest Ron Paul silliness from our Newser friends:
Ron Paul had a testy interview with CNN today that he ended by unclipping his microphone and saying, “Goodbye” as Gloria Borger continued to pepper him with questions, reports Mediaite. The source of the friction was questions about political newsletters that went out under Paul’s name about 20 years ago that had racist and homophobic sentiments. The issue has come up before, including during his 2008 run, and Paul seemed fed up with giving the same general response: “I didn’t write them. I didn’t read them at the time and I disavow them. That is your answer.”
The issue surfaced anew when the Weekly Standard wrote about the newsletters in its latest issue, notes the New York Times. (One of the more controversial quotes is from a 1992 newsletter about the Los Angeles riots: “Order was only restored in L.A. when it came time for the blacks to pick up their welfare checks.”) Paul contends that the newsletters went out under his name but that others did the writing and he didn’t pay much attention to them. He reportedly made money off the publications, however, and that has kept the questions coming.
What defies understanding is how so many “progressives,” the ultra-liberal spoilers of the Democratic party, can support such a man as Ron Paul. What he is for the sane part of the country is against. Here are 10 good reasons not to vote for silly Ron Paul.
Here’s a bonus: The video of President Ron Paul doing the walk out under the “pressure” of Gloria Borger’s interrogation:
So be honest now. Are you really going to vote for Ron Paul as the next president of the United States?
I can’t stand Gloria Borger. Not to defend Ron Paul but I can’t blame him this time.
Looked more like a standard walk out; I was hoping to see some “storming”. I am disappointed.
Paul has been talking about those newsletters since the 90s, he discussed them with Blitzer in 2008, and he just spoke to CNN yesterday about them. I would be bored with Borger too.
C’mon folks. RP is the only one for America. You want Obama again…four more years of what he’s done and to let him do it again? Any of those other republicans trip your trigger? RP is the only one for America. Ron Paul 2012!!
No sober man or woman, who values America, would vote for a Right Wing extremists like Ron Paul. I want the federal government working for me. Why would I be paying taxes otherwise?
