Dripping honey in Indiana church a message from God

Read Time:1 Minute, 54 Second

The loving Christians decided to kill the colony of bees that had made a home in their church.  The bees could have been moved as opposed to being murdered, but no doubt the faithful preferred to spend that money on a big screen TV.

As we all know the religious believe that God works in mysterious ways.  They believe this and repeat it often, rather like a mantra, by way of explaining everything God does.  For example a tornado strikes a believer’s house, essentially wiping out everything he and his family have worked for all their lives.  When interviewed they almost always say they “thank the Lord” their lives were spared, and with His help they will once again be back on their feet.  The fact that God sent the tornado to begin with is always explained with the mysterious ways mantra, that and God has a purpose for everything, because he’s God so it’s OK.

As an Atheist I think this is complete nonsense of course, and find it laughable indeed that a so called God is forgiven for everything he/she does, regardless of the consequences of those “actions.”  People have been using God as an excuse to kill, maim, wound, and rape for centuries, this time using the excuse that it’s God’s will.  They know that because some charlatan who calls himself a Holy Man has had a vision after too much wine, or some religious academic has so interpreted the words and meaning of that most hateful of books: the Bible.

I could go on and on with my literary meanderings, but there is a story behind the story, and it’s precisely about how the Crazy Christians go about interpreting natural events by attributing them to some higher power.  Speaking for myself I would much prefer to believe that NASA discovered a Romulan Bird of Prey hiding behind Mercury.

Does a message sent from above drip all the way down the sanctuary of the Plymouth Church of the Brethren?  Here’s the story of the murdered bees and their abandoned honey:

MadMike’sAmerica thanks ABC57 for parts of this story with a hat tip to Katrina. Is the dripping honey punishment for murdering the innocent bees or is it just a natural by product of that murder?

I think God is telling the faithful that the extermination service they contracted with did a half-assed job.

These God loving Christians just had to kill the bees. I can understand they might be an annoyance, but all they had to do was have a bee guy come in and move the colony. It’s done all the time. They deserve what they get.
