What Tebow, Trump and Gingrich need to know about women

Read Time:2 Minute, 21 Second

What Tim Tebow, Donald Trump and Newt Gingrich need to know about women.

Republicans think they are in charge of our reproductive systems and marital relationships. Donald Trump thinks we belong in ‘70s-style beauty pageants and phallus-shaped condo buildings. Even a college football player felt qualified to lecture us women on family planning during the Superbowl.

Ok, fine. Right back at you.  You lecture then I lecture:

Tim Tebow, Denver stadium is not your soapbox:

“Some of the things that have given me the most joy in my football career are the different times when I’ve spoken about my faith. Whether it was wearing Bible verses under my eyes in college, or wearing John 3:16 in the national championship game … Because every time I do that, that’s humbling for me because I know where my strength comes from. And I want to honor the person that gave them to me.”

Humbling? Ahem. First off, Jesus isn’t crazy about publicity-seekers [Matthew 6.5] who pray “that they may be seen by men.” Secondly, when you recruited your mom to denounce abortion on the basis of your faith to a national audience, you really crossed the line, Timmy.  Evidently, you’re a virgin or you don’t practice what you preach.

You’re a football player, for crissake. For me to take your spiritual and medical advice would be like you getting down on one knee to ask me to coach your passing game.

Calling Donald Trump the P.T. Barnum of politics is too complimentary. The angry threats to run for president, “the blacks love me,“  the eco destroying building projects, the stupid pursuit of Obama’s birth certificate, the toddler-like need for attention, the phony Celebrity Apprentice shows…et al.

The tipping point for me was when it was revealed that Trump’s Miss Universe Pageant paid for contestants’ breast implants. Jeez, will we be seeing Trump-brand Stepford Wives next?

Donald Trump, you’re tired. You need a nap and a timeout.

When I posted on Facebook that I disapproved of the 22 year age difference between Newt Gingrich and his third wife Callista, I was admonished by several people that it was none of my business. Really? Our national and state leaders make influential decisions about who can marry whom. Surely we can judge them by the quality of their legal relationships.

Everyone knows Newt has a poor record in the “in sickness and in health” department. He doesn’t seem trustworthy to me. Who knows? He could renege on his oath of office and run off with some younger, prettier country.

My advice to Callista Gingrich: don’t get sick, hon.

In reality it isn’t any of your business is it, regardless of the rationale or the aspirations of the celebrants? I have known many, many people in important places and in not so important places who have partners many years apart and I have seen fewer separations in these groups, probably because at least the older member of the union has gained some wisdom. While this is not always the case the dynamic should not be judged based on some moral equivalency and that’s what’s happening here I’m afraid.

Other than this little bit of “judgmentalism” (I just made that word up) I enjoyed the story.

I have already spoke to Tebow and the God thing on the football field. You know, if God has nothing better to do on Sunday afternoons than to watch Timmy play football with all the other problems in the world, everyone else needs a new God. Newt’s wife isn’t real. Check his luggage. I have yet to see the woman blink or her perfect smile move. She is really a rubberized android that follows him around (yeah, like Data on Star Trek: Next Generation).
Finally, I have stopped talking about “The Donald”. He is the answer to New York’s winters with all the hot air he spews around.

Callista a Jackie O? That statement alone tells me what I always thought. The dude is freakin’ nuts.

Guess God loved Tom Brady just a little bit more this weekend, didn’t he? As far as Trump and Newt, I’ve got nothing… really I’m at a total loss what I could say about these two assboils.

Is anyone else afraid that Callista Gingrich is about to lurch out of the photo and eat their face, or is that just me?

Clearly plastic humanoids aside, the very idea that anyone should look to the likes of Tim Tebow for advice on how to live or reproductive freedoms is, as you stated, clearly delusional. But I believe individuals such as this are far more dangerous then we would like to give them credit for, which is why it is all the more important to denounce their statements.

Such people have many admirers who are all to willing to follow the words of their heroes. This is compounded by many who are already religious as well who would be all the more open to suggestion by those they perceive as ‘better’ or in a place of power. The fact that those who would look up to such an individual being all the more likely to fall for such rhetoric makes them all the more dangerous.

The another day Newt compared her to Jackie Onassis. I thought I was going to throw up.
