Leaving no doubt who was the best team on the field LSU was able to amass only 92 total total yards for the game. The tigers crossed the 50 yard line into Alabama territory only once in the game making it to the Bama 32 yard line, but after a running play that lost yardage, two incompletions, and a fumbled snap they ended up back close to the 50 yard line. In the meantime Alabama collected almost 400 yards of offenses though an outstanding performance by quarterback A.J. McCarron which led to a record 5 field goals and a 34 yards touchdown run by Trent Richardson. This was possibly the worst beat down in BCS championship history. LSU never got its offense going during the entire game leaving their defense on the field tire and worn out by the end of the game.
It wasn’t that LSU was that bad, it was that Alabama was that good. ROLLLLL TIDE ROLL!! 🙂 🙂
