Brigham Young “no cuss” club demands ABC pull Modern Family episode

Read Time:3 Minute, 45 Second

There’s a lot of sex crime in America, primarily because there are so many Americans who treat sex like some sort of activity designed for the married, and that marriage must only be between a man and woman.

There’s a lot of cussing in America, but not as much as other parts of the world, and it often happens between men and men. Sex and cussing are normal.  Were it up to these Crazy Christians cussing would only be allowed between a man and a woman.

Sex is treated like something dirty, as opposed to being something natural and beautiful, and that puts it in the closet, and like when abortion was in the closet and alcohol was illegal, the results can be downright scary and the same rule applies to profanity.  Words are just words.  Sticks and stones may break my bones …. but, according to the Mormons, bad words should be BANNED, forever.  Praise Joseph Smith.

The continuous proselytizing of the hypocritical religious is disturbing as hell.  Have you ever watched the long running CBS reality show “Survivor?”  I watch it and enjoy it, except when they go to extraordinary pains to blur out the tiniest hint of sexuality.  Even common words like “damn” are bleeped.  I once watched a news segment that showed children visiting a farm.  The network actually blurred out the rear ends of farm animals so as not to offend the Crazy Christian fanatics.  That’s just plain nuts.

The latest nonsense, this time so-called profanity, just irritates hell out of me.  Here’s the story from Yahoo:

An anti-profanity crusader on Tuesday asked ABC to pull this week’s “Modern Family” episode in which a toddler appears to use a bleeped curse word.

“Our main goal is to stop this from happening,” said McKay Hatch, an 18-year-old college student who founded the No Cussing Club in 2007. “If we don’t, at least ABC knows that people all over the world don’t want to have a 2-year-old saying the ‘F-bomb’ on TV.”

“We hope they know better,” said Hatch. He’s asking his club’s members, whom he said number 35,000 in the United States and about three-dozen other countries, to complain to ABC.

ABC has yet to respond, he said Tuesday. The network had no comment, a spokeswoman said.

In the episode titled “Little Bo Bleep” airing 9 p.m. EST Wednesday, 2-year-old Lily shocks parents Mitchell and Cameron (Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Eric Stonestreet) with her first expletive.

The dads, who are preparing Lily to serve as flower girl in a wedding, now have an added parenting challenge.

The tot is played by Aubrey Anderson-Emmons, who says the word “fudge” during taping. It will be bleeped on the air and her mouth will be obscured by pixilation, and viewers will get the impression that her character used the actual F-word.

Steven Levitan, creator and executive producer of the sitcom with Christopher Lloyd, told the Television Critics Association last week that he’s “proud and excited” about the F-word plotline that ABC was persuaded to allow.

“We thought it was a very natural story since, as parents, we’ve all been through this,” Levitan said to EW.com. “We are not a sexually charged show. It has a very warm tone so people accept it more. I’m sure we’ll have some detractors.”

The program, which won the Emmy Award for best comedy last fall, was named best musical or comedy series at Sunday’s Golden Globes ceremony.

Hatch, who is from South Pasadena and attends Brigham Young University, a notorious Mormon creation, in Rexburg, Idaho, said he began his anti-profanity club in 2007 when he noticed how rampant cursing was at his school and how it was linked to bullying.

“If kids are accountable for their choices, then adults should be as well,” and that includes media, he said.

TV profanity was an issue before the Supreme Court last week, which heard arguments about whether regulating curse words and nudity on broadcast stations is sensible when cable and satellite services offer channels with few restrictions. A decision is expected by late June.

What do you think?  Do the Crazy Christians go too far and does the government spend too much time buying into this self-serving nonsense?  Should sex be perceived as something unnatural and taboo?

OK, let’s examine this for a moment. This young, I assume he, at least they say it is a he although I was presuming it was a she, student is at Brigham Young University … but wait… Brigham Young University is in Provo, Utah, not IDAHO, (Sorry, that state always cracks me up, I DA HO 🙂 ) and has two last names (McKay and Hatch). Come on, who does that to a kid. First name after a football coach and the last, I guess he could be from Senator Hatch’s family, it would fit. He is complaining not about what the child said but what the kid appeared to be saying which was not a cuss word which was not, therefore, under the purview of the “no cuss” club. So here a suggestion to McKay Hatch, who is Mormoning in the wrong state, shut the fudge up and get over yourself. You and your group are 35,000 numbnuts strong (counting those in other countries) are one hundredth of one percent of the potential viewing audience. Yep, ABC is just shaking in its boots right now Trigger.

What a load of bleeping rubbish these so called Christians come out with. For bleeps sake, they are only words that at some stage someone decided where “bad” get a bleeping grip people. Life is way to short for this bleeping nonsense!! Use your energy and Christianity to fight for the rights of the abused or less fortunate than yourself…bleeping bleep holes!! Modern family is one of if not the best program’s on the bleepin tv.
